On Plate - *NALLI NIHARI*

Traditionally Nihari was cooked all night and then served to the Mughal Kings of Delhi in breakfast after the morning prayers.
From the royal kitchens of the Mughals, the dish has now crossed all borders of region, religion, and course. However, since it takes a long time, almost 5 hour, to cook Nihari, it is mostly reserved for special occasions like Eid dinners and other festivities.

On Plate- CHICKEN SHEZWAN NOODLES

When in doubt make Chicken schezwan noodles! Who does not like an easy to make spicy street food? This dish easily qualifies for a quick evening snack and a delicious lunch.
Chicken schezwan noodles can be made within minutes once you have the schezwan sauce and noodles. In this recipe, I have marinated the chicken pieces in cornflour with some spices and then shallow fried it to give it a crispy texture. An alternate is to steam cook or boil the chicken and then saute them in the sauce.
