As promised, here is the story of Ajab Singh.
The guy who brings you the most delectable chaat from .
Listen to him as he describes how he ices the collected malai ( cream) and then churns the milk and cream for almost 5 to 6 hours every night before he arrives with the melt in your mouth, as light as air nothingness that tastes like a piece of heaven dropped into your mouth.
It is then garnished with crunchy mawa and powdered sugar and served to you on the busy Chawri Bazar lane.

You can find Ajab Singh in Chawri Bazar. Visit him, won't you?

Or maybe, wait for the Spicy Trails ladies to organise a foodwalk for you to visit Ajab Singh and help yourself to the delectable Daulat ki chaat!

coming soon. Keep an eye out for the announcements here

It was time for Mahua Rayc & me to jump into the crazy maze of Chawri Bazaar , navigating around the narrow streets , carefully avoiding passing cows , rickshaws & focussing on small vendors in tiny holes , experiencing their super duper or****ic fares and keeping ourselves hungry for more as we decided to continue walking with determination, wearing comfortable shoes....the smog did play truant for a while but we braved all...😁
The foodie spirit was at play !

If you thought we only explored non-vegetarian stuff , you will be surprised at the treats coming your way , the best aloo tikki chat from Ashok Chat Corner which goes back to 1948...Ajab Singh's Daulat ki Chaat , Shyam Sweets' Dal Kachori ( after a toss between it & Bedmi Poori) because we didn't want to stuff ourselves before we called it a day .
The softest Shreemal ever, landed on our plates , mildly sweet and full of nuts & flavours...not to forget the delicious gond laddoos... When I saw the oil laden mutton seekhs, I almost did a double take , but then I plunged full onto the plate with total concentration. It turned out to be a melt in the mouth experience, no regrets at all.
I didn't even need a pudin hara , trust me 😂

When you can eat without falling sick , that's the icing on these kinds of food walks 😋

Stay tuned for more from our walks, my lovelies 🥂

So two spicy ladies walked down to the land of spices to taste the spicy fares on offer.
And what a ride it was. Succulent kebabs. Melt in the mouth. Doused in spicy green chutney. With onions on the side. Even if it was our last meal on earth, we would have died happy women.
There were many more gems we uncovered in our yesterday. Wait till you hear stories of Ajab Singh who brings you Daulat ka chaat. Or the korma and Sheermal from Rehmatullah. Or the famous Aslam chicken guys. Or even the melt in the mouth Kuremal kulfis.Tangy and oh so fresh.
How is it that in the busiest part of town, where hustle and more bustle rules the roost, a plethora of such glorious food is available for such throwaway prices?
Where people of all faiths come together to share a meal in the middle of a hard day's work... it is only possible in our

Stay tuned for more, won't you?
