Dear Members ,
Over the past few days we have been receiving messages which are baseless, rumours & misinformation.
1. On 8.04.20 our area was sealed and declared a hotspot due to rumours & misinformation spread by some members.
2. Only 4 COVID 19 positive cases have been found in our area, and no new cases in the past one week.
3. Due to actions and rumors spread by few , everyone in our area is facing more difficulty and are deprived of basic necessities ( Groceries, vegetables etc) as the area is sealed.
4. All 35 staff members are safe , they were provided shelter, food, masks etc.in their respective different shops as they could not go back to villages due to national lockdown.

It is a global pandemic, if we can't help our society ,we should not make it more difficult by spreading rumors.

We have requested SHO to take appropriate action against anyone who is spreading false information / rumors as it's an offense.

DM Seals Bengali Market Area In Delhi After 3 Corona Cases Surface

In a circular issued by New Delhi DM Tanvi Garg, it has been said that after the three cases were found positive, the administration conducted a house to house survey and screened over 2,000 people. At least two people, living in quarters above the market, were found to be symptomatic.
