India has been a highly conservative country with high moral values from the very beginning. Please note this thread of morality does not extend to other areas that actually matter(e.g Politics).We are the youth and we stand for a change, a change from the oppressive customs that have curbed our freedom to choose our life partners for ourselves.
We entered the new age: the age of independence, of a democratic country, The new generation X . Is freedom and independence all about free will and making your decisions as opposed to having forced on you?
Apart from the extreme orthodox Indians, there are more and more followers of this new thinking: that every person has the right to make his/her decisions regarding their own life. Who they want to marry and spend the rest of their lives, when they want to marry and where they want to settle down should be all up to the individual in question.
