Know your coffee: Mocha

What is Mocha? It is a chocolaty caffeine kiss. It can be served with cookies, omelette or the most serene winter view. You can even have it iced with your friends and loads of catching-up to do or just the solitary respite of your book.

Mocha consists of the three main elements: espresso shot, steamed milk and chocolate (the game-changing ingredient).

The chocolate can be infused in your cup of coffee in the form of powder or syrup.

Join us in welcoming the festive spirits with the age old tradition of cake mixing at Alchemist Roastery Coffee Company.

Cake mixing ceremonies are joyous occasions where people come together and begin the preparations for Christmas.

But what exactly is cake mixing and how did it come into existence?

Cake mixing is the process of combining dry fruits, nuts, grains and spicies to make a mixture. Then, this delicious mixture is soaked in alcohol or alcoholic blends. It is allowed to rest in an airtight container for several days to soak in the aroma. Eventually, this very mixture is used in the famous Christmas cakes! In fact, this mixture can also be preserved upto a year.

This tradition of cake mixing began in the 17th century Europe to mark the arrival of the harvest season. It was also an occasion for the entire family to gather together.
