Have you ever been to a polyphonic dinner?*

Probably not. Because we’re hosting the first one at Otenga, Ahmedabad.

We’ve wanted to do this ever since we stumbled upon sonic seasoning, gastrophysics, and British Airways’ experiments with food and sound.

But serendipity needs patience. We trusted the process, knowing we’d someday cross paths with fellow researchers like if we kept our curiosity alive.

Meet Pratyush Pushkar / ba. He’s building a transdisciplinary poetics of attention — rooted in listening, gesture, ecological intimacy, and metaphysical longing. For him, sound, language, food, image, and relation are all ways of sensing the hidden threads between beings.

Esoteric? Absolutely.
So is our question: _Can certain notes buried in the complex flavours of fermentation be elevated by polyphonic sound?_

Join us this Saturday and step into the inception of this experiment. Be part of the first audience for a dinner that listens back.

Sundays at Otenga, Delhi are always experimental. A month ago, a table conversation started Sonic Spill, where we listened to a dj set, a curated playlist while our hand moved on an open canvas. We are mixing doodling and djing with good coffee to enjoy a perfect reflective sundowner. Witness The Bliss of Ignorance: The Caste Affair, where we invite you to move beyond being a spectator and become a "Spect-actor." Through symbols of food, politics, and language, we explore the erasure and reclamation of identity and how Savarna behavior manifests into power.

The evening moves toward an act of reclamation, honoring the stories of the silenced and the unheard within Indian Classical music. Caste decided who would be remembered, but vibrations cannot be stopped.
