Transforming rural infrastructure into active community learning takes vision, funding, and the right expertise to bring it to life. 🍽️✨

A massive shoutout to the Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB) Kilkenny LEADER Partnership , and the Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny for their incredible investment in the newly refurbished Ballyfoyle Community Centre.

Having demonstrated in the old building last year, seeing this modernised space reopen as a vibrant, state-of-the-art cornerstone for the local community was an absolute privilege.

The Highlight? I had the honour of being the very first chef to launch and host a series of three comprehensive cookery masterclasses in the new space. Over the course of the program, I trained 29 brilliant women, teaching complete three-course menus, culinary techniques, & always anchored in the seasonal, local, and from-scratch values I learned

Projects like this prove what is possible when state bodies, local leadership, and industry expertise align to build legacy skills in rural communities.
