A talk we gave last week as part of the Irish Development Education Association - IDEA summer knowledge shares.

'Led by Suzie Cahn and Hannah Mole of Carraig Dulra, this session explored how permaculture education served as a collaborative, empowering, and regenerative force within communities. Hi folks, along with the PDC this year we are offering a teacher training programme which hopefully might be of interest to some of you past pdc-ers.

If you have any inclination to teach permaculture or incorporate it into teaching or facilitation work or volunteering that you're already doing it would be a boost to your skills and confidence...

We are really keen to be helping other teachers and aspiring teachers to get more active, there's lots of opportunity, need and resource all across the country!

After 12 years of PDC’s here in Carraig Dulra, we are joining with our partner Earthcare Permaculture Design in Roscommon and embarking on something fresh, new and very exciting this year. Full details here: https://www.dulra.org/courses/pdc

In branching out we are putting the best of both courses and locations, also along with new partner Common Knowledge together and offering an even more diverse multi venue PDC programme!

🌿In addition, our 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 track is back!! We are keenly aware of the demand and the need for sharing Permaculture in communities across the country and beyond. We're running this course again with the aim of nurturing some new Permaculture teachers into this growing niche!

Our annual apple pressing day this year will be on Saturday 5th October 10am-2pm. Free entry, families welcome (no pets please).
Unfortunately our apple harvest this year was very small, so if you have or can get lots of apples, do bring them !
