Well and truly feels as though winter is upon us. The clocks have gone back and the jet lag is killing me. The warm summer drizzle has turned to cold wintery rain. That’s what we’ll put it down to anyway. Anyone that “prefers this time of year” needs their head examined. Anyway, coffee is always the solution until the clock tells you it’s acceptable to have ‘one pint’. I’m open every weekend through the winter and all school holidays. Fill your boots.

It was great to get back over to Tramore Beach on Saturday. First time in a while! Meeting fellow walkers and enjoying a coffee from Emu View Brew Crew, was what we really needed.
Energy is back, and today was a good day, wrapping up the itinerary for a large tour group from the US. They arrive early Sept!

I’ve finally sold my soul. All you insta girlies can finally rest happy knowing you pressured another coffee trailer to get “trendy”.
•Açai bowls: a pain in the ass to make but dammit they look, and taste great.
•Matcha: Have it your way, hot or iced. It still tastes like dirt. I wasn’t informed about this so syrups will have to wait until next week.

Come over and try my attempts anyway. Personally I think I’ve done alright

I’m sure some of you may be wondering, “When is Emu going to open back up for the season…” Because some people seem shocked to call up and find out that I never closed at all (aside from a holiday here and there and here again, a week for exams and a couple weeks at Christmas). But apart from that, I’ve stayed open all winter! (At weekends). So let me just clear up some opening hours for the time being. Open most Fridays, at some point (check my story), and I’m open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 until 4:30. Hope this helps! Thanks to everyone for a successful first winter season at Emu. Feels like spring is upon us. Here’s to brighter and better days! (Come get a coffee)

A few snapshots from our soggy summer so far. Whatever the weather, its business as usual over here in Horn head. Open from 10 until 5 (every day besides Thursday). If you’re finding yourself at a loose end, kids wrecking your head and the beach doesn’t look like an option, why not grab a bite to eat in town and enjoy it with your coffee on the picnic benches! Feel free to bring your food scraps for the pigs too.

We can finally see Muckish again, that can only mean one thing. It’s stopped raining! Why not take the short walk/ cycle from Dunfanaghy, walk the dog and grab a coffee and a treat in Horn head! Open every day (not Thursdays). You’re more than welcome to bring a picnic from home or any of the businesses in town and enjoy it on the benches here at Emu View!
