From boutique cafes to chain coffee houses, Dublin is brewing great coffee. Welcome to my page dedicated to all coffee news and stories. My caffeinated adventure started a few years ago, when brewing and steaming in one of local coffee shops. Since then I've enjoyed a lot of great cups across Dublin and I would like to share my stories with you.

Sometimes it is hard to find the right words as anything I want to say has already been said by people smarter, more influential, powerful than I will ever will be. And nothing has really changed.

There are so many horrifying stories of people being shot, beaten and terrorised just because the colour of their skin and some racist bu****it. And these stories just keep repeating themselves over and over again, and I don't understand why.
We should treat others just the way we want to be treated ourselves. I champion EQUALITY. I want to judge people based on their character and actions. If you don't like me, do it because I am as***le, not because of what I am or where I come from.

I REFUSE to judge people based on their skin colour, religion or gender. I REJECT any discriminatory rhetoric.

I want other people to have the same right to enjoy little things as I do. I want other people to feel safe and help create safe space for others. There are so many bad things around us, and the only way we can really overcome them is to stick together and support one another. That's the only way to let our humanity thrive and grow stronger. Together.

Revisiting Dublin's cafes: TWO BOYS BREW.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Two Boys Brew encapsulates the essence of great coffee served in the company of epic food. Located in Phibsoborough in Dublin 7, it is considered by many as one of THE coffee houses of the foodie scene of the capital.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kevin and Taurean brought something unique to life. It's where I encountered for the first time Man Versus Machine coffee roasters - the coffee house was at some point the only stockist of those beans in Ireland - and later Root And Branch Coffee Roasters & Brew Bar. They don't shy from introducing new roasters to our tables such as Hola Coffee or Bunaberry to our delight.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They have elevated the idea of your standard cafe's comfort food to new heights, with tasty twists, dashes of simplicity, elegance and burst of flavour. From a classic brownie to sensuous hotcakes, every visit was an event. A queue at the door said it all, so we had to arm ourselves with patience waiting for a table, particularly at the weekend.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The cafe boasts an easy-going atmosphere. Warm greys and blues play against natural colours of wood and steel installations stretched under the ceiling. Pockets of green are peppered across the space, relaxing the overall industrial vibes of the space.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I cannot wait to be back. See you soon.

When you sit at home, you let your mind wander. So while I cannot drop by my favourite coffee houses, I can at least take a walk down memory late across the Dublin coffee scene.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This time, I want to revisit Indigo and Cloth in . Located opposite to Project Arts Centre, this popular spot houses a lifestyle store & speciality café. Coffee devotees can indulge themselves in a nice selection of coffees from around the world such as Bailies Coffee (Belfast), La Cabra Coffee (Aarhus), Bonanza Coffee (Berlin) and Nomad Coffee (Barcelona), both available for sale and on the drinking menu. Add some chocolate treats from Bean and Goose (really nice) and Hunted and Gathered (still need to try), and you can treat your sweet tooth easily. It is also a good spot to remember for your high-end coffee gear and Kinto travel tumblers or Huskee cups.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The massive glass front lets in heaps of natural light, bouncing back from the wood detail as well as white and exposed brick walls. The communal table and bar top by the window are handy for a quick flat white or your book catch-up. The cafe sports some industrial and Nordic vibes in its decor with warm accents peppered across the space. I love buying their soy candles, especially Campfire and Amber and Moss from PF Candle Co. Simply fab!
