Progress Update 2! “The Yard”
Not many would realise, but the shop also had a derelict workshop at the rear.
The roof structure was severely dilapidated after being neglected for years. This was removed along with some walls for safety reasons.
The area was then cleared out, over a 4 week period with thanks to Ger and the team from 2 Men And A Skip Limited.
Serious effort involved, with ongoing removal still required for construction materials from the renovation in the shop.
This area will play a big part in the future of the shop and the pub.
To squash the rumours of “They are turning it into a beer garden” No, no we are not...
Subject to planning permission we will be aiming to relocate the restaurant kitchen currently located on the 2nd Floor to this larger Ground Floor area, along with walk-in cold/freezer rooms and new renovated WC’s for the bar. Very dull and not exciting indeed.
For the moment this area will not be utilised.
But that does not mean there’s no work to be done!Drainage / Sewer Survey

Remedial works to blockwork, windows, and doors
