Amikor 2007-ben elkezdünk dolgozni az első fesztiválon az egyik legfontosabb célunk a hazai mangalica tenyésztők és termékkészítők megismertetésén kívül a hagyományteremtés volt.

Örömmel számolhatunk be arról, hogy ezt a célunkat elértük, a fesztiválból hagyomány lett és immár az egész ország tudja, hogy február elején mangalica fesztivál van Budapesten. 2010-től Debrecenben, Szombathelyen, 2012-től Székesfehérváron és Szegeden is lehetőségünk van bemutatkozni, így országos „vándorcikusz” lett a fesztivál. Az évente négy alkalommal - február (Budapest), április (Debrecen), szeptember (Székesfehérvár), november (Szeged) - megtartott sikeres fesztiválokon egyre több és jobb termékkel, termelővel lehet találkozni.

A „járt utat a járatlanért el ne hagyd“ igazsága alapján nem változtattunk a koncepción és a fesztivál hangulatán. A továbbra is ingyenesen látogatható rendezvény igazi értéke egyfajta fair trade mozgalom beindítása. A kilátogató érdeklődő közvetlenül találkozhat az ország minden pontjáról érkező tenyésztővel és őstermelővel, sok esetben attól veszi meg a terméket, aki maga állította elő, így a kereskedelmi láncok kiiktatásával mindenki jobban jár. A vásárló nem kap hamisítványt, csak a Mangalicatenyésztők Országos Egyesülete (MOE) által ellenőrzött állományból kikerült végtermék lehet jelen a rendezvényen, mely szakmai felügyeletét az egyesület garantálja.

A mangalica termékek mellett kiváló magyar portékákkal, nagyszerű zenekarokkal, gyerekprogramokkal, élőállat kiállítással, helyben sült mangalica ételekkel, egészben sült malaccal, kiváló borokkal és pálinkákkal, valamint Budapesten az elmaradhatatlan főzőversennyel várjuk az érdeklődőket.

Meggyőződésünk, hogy az eddigi siker folytatódik és még szélesebb körben lesznek ismertek a hazai mangalica tenyésztők és az általuk elkészített finomságok.

Mert, hogy a mangalica termékek finomak azt senki nem vitatja!
