There’s an old story from Pelješac that makes grape harvest season a little more interesting. 🍇

It is said that unmarried girls would traditionally stomp the grapes barefoot. Back then, women wore long dresses and skirts, so grape stomping meant lifting them just enough to keep them out of the grapes.

And according to the story, that gave the young men around them a rare chance to catch a glimpse of their ankles and legs. Who knows — maybe a few love stories started during harvest season. 👀❤️
