Expats Language Café & Cultural Integration

Expats Language Café & Cultural Integration Are you an expatriate interested in learning how to speak Twi, or a Ghanian interested in learning a Opp. This meetup focuses on keeping a casual style.

This is a group mainly for people who are interested in joining our weekly meetups or meetings at Winneba, Cape Coast, and more. For joining this group you should either:
- Live in, or close enough to Agona Swedru and Winneba & Cape coast to be able to attend our meetups.
- Have any relation to the group from before.
- Or have some great reason for why you should be a member anyways. This can be s

pecified in your member request.
---
Everybody who wants to learn the Ghanaian native language (TWI) or practice a foreign language, or teach their own are invited! Place/Location/Venue: Winneba, Cape Coast, and Agona Swedru (Swesbus Jun. Adehyeman Savings & Loans Bank)
The idea of the Language Cafe is to learn how to speak Twi and meet new people, share interests (socialization), and speak the language you want to practice or teach your own. Learn about the kind & rich Ghanaian culture and History. It is a wonderful opportunity to “break the ice” and speak the language even if our level is very basic. We can both learn the language and help others by teaching the language we know good especially TWI. It is also a great possibility to meet a language tandem partner or just new friends! Each person is kind of responsible for their own profits from the meetups. But if you ask the host or any of the regulars we will gladly help you with trying to find someone for your desired language so you can practice together :)!
***MERITS
# Make new friends and expand your network with all kinds of people in Swedru and in Ghana at large.
# Practice presentations and communication skills in a safe space.
# Be part of something awesome! I believe this can be a big thing in Ghana and who knows what opportunities this might give you. (As quoted by my good friend Jennifer)

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
We provide a platform through which you can practice and speak the native Ghanaian language and some selected foreign languages in a natural way with natives and learn about the culture of your new country within a self-made timetable in a friendly and interactive online community with occasional meet-ups that every participant who signs up, upon completion leaves with a smile

OUR VISSION STATEMENT
To create an environment through which one can improve speaking and listening skills, understand and value the language and culture of others in order to develop a good connection and friendship with people outside their native country.

We started this initiative to practice the languages we are learning as well as meet new people in the city. It is super cool to see we are not the only group of people who are in for an event like this. Can't wait to start with our offline meetings.
Are you (planning to be) in Accra, Swedru, Winneba, or Cape Coast and seriously interested in offline meetings to improve your language skills (and help others improving theirs)? Be part of our group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/282482529904756/

Expats. Language Café is about to host the first Twi pilot edition.
If you are interested in practicing your Twi skills (listening and speaking), kindly join our Facebook group to get updates and Infos about registrations on our first meet-up.

What is ELC? We are a group of Language Lovers. During an ECA meet up, you can practice your skills with native speakers and other people who are learning the language in an authentic way. It's not a language course, rather an informal way to practice and meet new people. It's fun!
You are welcome to join the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/282482529904756/

The ELC Team.

One of the best ways to learn a language is to speak to natives. At Expats. Language Café, we create a safe, free, friendly and lovely environment to practice a language and meet new people.
Learning sessions are led by a host and other language lovers who are already fluent. Oh! Don’t worry we know you are learning, so don't be afraid to make a mistake!
Join our Facebook group if you want to attend one of our offline meetups.
