Africa has 54 countries, enormous resources, a young population, and countless talented people yet we remain divided by borders, currencies and competing interests.

Unity does not mean losing our identities. It means finding common ground, trading more with each other, building together and speaking with a stronger voice in the world.

The question is simple: what could Africa achieve if we united our strength instead of competing against ourselves?

This woman speaks from painful experience. After raising three children, she found herself neglected in her old age, despite everything she had done for them.

Her message to parents is simple: love your children, but don't make them your retirement plan.

Prepare for your own future, build something for yourself, and teach your children responsibility and compassion.

Because nobody wants to spend their old age wondering where the children they sacrificed everything for have gone.

What do you think parents should do to prepare for old age?

Africa is not poor. Africa is rich in resources, culture, talent and potential. What we have struggled with is turning that wealth into prosperity for our own people.

For too long, Africa has been spoken about as if poverty is our identity. It is not.

We have our challenges, and we must confront them ourselves — through better leadership, stronger institutions, education, innovation and greater unity across our continent.

The future of Africa should not be defined by those who mock us. It should be built by Africans who believe in Africa.

Africa will be great again.

Africa has watched its raw resources leave our shores while much of the real value is created somewhere else.

Ghana is taking a different step.

From September 1, GoldBod says gold doré handled by Self-Financing Aggregators must be refined in Ghana before it can be exported.

This is the kind of conversation Africa needs.

Our resources should not only leave the continent — they should create industries, skills, jobs and value here too.

Imagine if more African countries processed more of what they produce before exporting it.

Africa has the resources. Now we must build the industries.

This may be a movie scene, but it feels uncomfortably close to the questions being asked across the Sahel today.

As global powers compete for Africa’s minerals and influence, Africans have every right to ask: who truly benefits from our resources, and who benefits when our countries are unstable?

We should never confuse fiction with evidence. But we should never be afraid to question reality either.

Africa’s resources must ultimately serve African people.

This speaker makes serious claims about foreign population policies in Africa and the struggle for influence over the continent’s resources.

Some historical documents do show that powerful countries viewed population growth in developing nations as an economic and strategic issue. But not every claim made in this video should be accepted without evidence.

Africans should ask questions but we must also verify the answers.

Our population, resources and future deserve policies shaped with African interests and African voices at the centre.

Watch. Question. Research. Decide for yourself.

Africa has exported its wealth and imported the finished product exporting jobs and opportunities along with it.

President Mahama’s message points to the Africa we should be building: process our cocoa here, refine our minerals here, create industries here and give our young people a reason to build their future here.

Africa’s prosperity is not a threat to the world. A stronger Africa makes the world stronger.

Our resources must finally build our continent.

Malema raises a question Africa cannot keep avoiding.

Outside this continent, our different flags often matter far less we are simply seen as Africans.

So why should nationality, borders and hardship turn us against one another at home?

Hold criminals accountable. Enforce immigration laws. But never turn an entire African people into the enemy.
Our struggles are connected. Our future should be too.

Africa must learn to see itself as one.

For centuries, Africans and the diaspora have carried the wounds of slavery and sometimes those wounds have been used to turn us against one another.

This speaker challenges the popular claim that Africans simply “sold their own people” and asks us to look deeper into how the transatlantic slave system operated.

The history is complex, and African participation existed. But one truth should unite us today: our ancestors suffered on both sides of the Atlantic.

We cannot change that history. But we can decide what comes next.

Africa and her diaspora must stop seeing each other as strangers.

Different shores. One people. One future.

What were you taught about our history?

The slave trade involved African kingdoms, merchants, European powers, wars, kidnapping and systems of exploitation that changed over centuries.

As Africans, we should study the full history even the uncomfortable parts not use the past to divide ourselves today.

Know the history. Learn from it. Build a stronger Africa together.
