A huge thank you to Derwent Valley Railway volunteers Tony & Steven for the fabulous talk and yard tour of the DVLR at Murton Park. It was a really interesting morning and on behalf of Talking About Loss and the bereavement cafe members we would like to say how wonderful you both were. Several of the BC members have expressed an interest in becoming DVLR members and several copies of the DVLR book were sold too. Some pictures from the event follow.

April's Bereavement Cafe on Monday 13th April (10am till noon) will be a slightly different one. We will still meet at 10am for a complimentary welcome cuppa and then take the short walk to the DVLR station for a talk on the history of the railway and tour of the yard! It's going to be an exciting morning! All welcome!

Being so close to Valentine's Day, Monday's Bereavement Cafe (9th February 10am till noon) is "Remembering With Love" incorporating heart themed craft. Speaking of which aren't these adorable! (SEE PICTURES BELOW - FABULOUS WORK & THANK YOU SO MUCH TO DAVINA & ANGELA)

Our Fiona (in her other capacity as a celebrant) collects these and distributes them to local funeral directors to bring comfort to families who are grieving, one pair of the heart goes with the loved one, the other remains with the bereaved, a symbol of a connection that will never be lost.

These are always in demand so anyone who is good with crafting, (they can be sewn, felted, knitted, crocheted, small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, preferably stuffed, and need to be a pair) and able to make and gift any of the hearts, it really would be so much appreciated. Just drop them off to us at The Yorkshire Barn and we will get them to her and give you a complimentary cuppa in thanks on her behalf.
