Out of respect to our late Queen, Elizabeth II, the Earl Grey Tea Rooms will be closed on Monday 19th September, 2022.

To avoid any confusion we are happy to announce that well behaved dogs are now welcome at The Earl Grey tea Rooms.
(Hopefully we will never have to exercise our right to ask badly behaved dogs/owners to leave the tea room for disturbing other diners!).

Happy to announce that we can open inside and out from today. Back to full menu. Normal service has resumed! Just about - certain Covid restrictions still in place, face and space, track and trace!🙂🍰🥪🥗☕🍾

We are so excited to finally be able to welcome customers back to the Earl Grey Tea Rooms on 12th April. It will be in the garden only with a simplified menu and dependent on the weather - but it's a start! From little acorns mighty oaks do grow!!! Looking forward to seeing you all. 🙂

Our friends Ian and Jesse are in show business and like us in the hospitality business they are really suffering through lockdown. As of midnight tonight, 30th Dec 2020, York has been put in Tier 3, so, sadly we have to close our doors once again. Hopefully it will not be too long before we can see you again. Happy New Year!

We have been open again since 3rd Dec and continue to be open for eating in or takeaway. Thank you to our lovely customers who have supported us this year. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021.

Due to the latest ruling by the government, we are once again closed down for the duration of lockdown. Hopefully we will be back in business on 2nd December, but we await further guidance.
Thank you for all your support through these difficult times and we look forward to welcoming our lovely customers back to the tea rooms very soon.

Due to the Coronovirus we have, very sadly had to close our doors. We will re-open again on the 1st August 2020.
