National Fish & Chip Day is nearly here, and we have an amazing offer to share with you!

To celebrate National Fish & Chip Day, we’re offering £1 Fish Goujon Meals for all primary school-aged children and under.

Fish is a fantastic source of protein and can play an important part in a healthy, balanced diet. We hope this offer helps inspire a new generation of fish and chip lovers while celebrating one of the nation’s favourite dishes.

A huge thank you to Smales for generously supplying the fish to make this possible, and to Edima Potatoes for providing the spuds.

We’re also incredibly grateful to for supplying some of the best dunkable sauces around!

It’s crazy to think that less than 5 years ago our little fish and chip shop didn’t even exist, and I didn’t have a clue how to cook fish and chips.

Last Tuesday I got to visit the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kensington Palace alongside other winners from the National Fish & Chip Awards 🇳🇴

This industry has given me experiences I never could’ve imagined and introduced me to some incredible people, whether that’s fellow operators or all of you amazing customers who trust us with your weekly fish and chips.

Honestly, I’m incredibly grateful for all of it.

Next month I’ll be heading out to Norway to get on a trawler and see first-hand what the fishermen do to get fish to shops like ours every single day 🐟

This is a part time role consisting of ad hoc evening shifts as well as some Saturdays.

What an invaluable experience!

As winners of the Menu Innovation award at the National Fish & Chip Awards, we were invited down to London by the Norwegian Seafood Council and Seafood from Norway for an inspiration day.

The day began at Westminster Kingsway College, the oldest culinary school in England, where we were given a tour of the incredible facilities and an insight into how the next generation of chefs are trained.

We then enjoyed a fantastic demonstration from Michelin starred chef Simon Hulstone, who cooked up a range of innovative dishes from seafood you typically find in Fish & Chip shops.

The next part of the day was spent at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kensington, where we were hosted by the Ambassador of Norway, Tore Hattrem.

Overall, the day was incredibly insightful, and we can’t wait to travel to Norway later next month to spend time on a fishing trawler and see where the journey of fish and chips truly begins.
