I have really enjoyed sharing some of my cookbook collection with our customers over the last few years. Great to see so many folks getting really stuck into the books and treating them with respect.

If you have spotted any particular favourites, do let me know, or indeed, any authors who have glimpsed their own books on the shelves!!

The late, great chef Gary Rhodes book 'Rhodes around Britain' was the first cookbook I ever bought nearly 30 years ago now!!

There are plenty more books in the collection, but sadly no room to display them at the moment.

The only book that is still missing from my collection, is MY OWN!! Something I need to remedy, especially if I had a pound for everytime someone has told me to do it!!🤣 Watch that shelf!!👨‍🍳🍴

We are hiring.

On the lookout for a mature, reliable & bubbly type to work directly alongside Lindsey, servicing our lovely, cosy restaurant & bar duties, as & when required.

This is initially a permanent part time position, approximately 12 to 16 hours working over the weekend period. Additional hours maybe available.
Availability on Sundays is essential. And we will feed you handsomely!!

We offer great pay, great conditions & ongoing training for the right person.
Don't be put off if this type of work is new to you. Full training will be offered to the right person.

A beautiful piece of beef resting under the lights.

The resting period is everybit as important as the actual cooking.

This is our aged 'barrel cut' rump of Yorkshire beef.
Looks like a fillet but miles tastier & a wee bit more forgiving on the wallet.

Every little helps as the saying goes!!
