I've realised that lots of you have joined the Fussy Bakes Family recently, so I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself!
Behind the gluten-free goodies, market stalls and endless trays of brownies is me, Lottie 👋 (You may hear my mum call me Charlotte, but ignore her 😉)
I’m the CEO, Head Baker, Marketing Manager, Sales Representative, Admin Assistant, Operations Manager, and Customer Support Specialist of Fussy Bakes (I'm sure I've missed a few titles there...)
Believe it or not, outside or Fussy Bakes I do have a life, so here are some fun facts about me... some you might know, and some you definitely won’t! 🧡
Fussy Bakes started after I took redundancy from my corporate job, which was honestly the push I needed to finally do something I’d always dreamed of doing.
I’ve always loved baking, and I’d always wanted my own business, but there’s never really a “perfect” time to take the leap.
So I decided to give it a go... and I still can’t quite believe what it has grown into 🥹
My friend Catherine Miller and I left our jobs at the same time and the first thing we did was design the Fussy Bakes branding!
Creating a place where people can find delicious gluten-free treats has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done 🧡
I studied Marketing and Management at Durham University and somehow managed to come away with a First... despite not attending as many lectures as I probably should have 🙈
(Shhh... don't tell my mum...)
My favourite topics were all about experiential marketing, the power of creating memorable, in-person experiences.
Which is probably why I love chatting to you all at markets so much! 🧡
If I’m not baking, there’s a good chance I’m trying a new craft.
I love learning new skills and making things... although my craft drawers are full of half-finished projects, because apparently my favourite part is starting something new rather than finishing the old one 😂
(One day I WILL finish them all... probably 🤞🏻)
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD, which honestly didn’t come as much of a surprise to my friends and family 😂
Getting my diagnosis was such a relief and has helped me understand my brain so much more
