A pretty surreal moment this morning seeing our faces on the front page of The Northern Echo!

If you can spare a few minutes to give the article a read or pick up a physical copy of the paper to fill in a voting slip we would be incredibly grateful!

We have been delighted to find out in the last few days that we have been nominated as one of the finalists for The Northern Echo’s Best Pub competition!

To reach the top 10 after taking over the pub less than a year ago is something we are very proud of and even more than that we are grateful for the incredible support we have received from our community!

The competition now continues through a voting system using physical coupons supplied in copies of the paper, so please pick up a copy and give us a vote if you can! We will have copies of the paper available in the pub for people interested, and we will also be able to send off votes for anyone too!

Thanks again to everyone for supporting us through these first few months, it’s been a fun journey so far and will only continue to get better!

IT’S COMING HOME!?!

Excitement and nerves are building up here as we get ready for the Semifinal between England and Argentina at 8pm tonight! ⚽️

Seen as they were a lucky charm on Saturday we will once again be serving up complimentary pie and peas to everyone that comes along to cheer on the three lions! 🥧

The bigger screen is back again, along with some extra little decorations to hopefully give us the edge in 90 mins to save everyone the nerves of extra time and penalties! 😬

We will be open from 5pm for anyone looking to bag themselves the best seat in the house with a cool drink to settle their nerves! 🍻
