Nexus have suspended the service between Wallsend & Monkseaton due to signal failure.

The service has been out of action since early this morning and boards on platforms are displaying incorrect information.

The most fantastic Princess from Land and Sea joins us for a very special Rockpool School session! 🧜🏻‍♀️

We have been very lucky to have this most fabulous Princess join us the past two years and the day was honestly just the best!!! 😃.

These guys are so awesome at what they do, everyone literally drifts away into a magical world. It just melts my heart seeing how special it is for all the little ones 💜 ❤️ 💚

This year we are so lucky to have her join us in her most gorgeous tail!! . As always I'm sooooo excited 😆

So what will our session entail?
Well before our princess arrives to meet and greet you all, enjoy a singalong together and capture the moments by taking photos too, our rockpool friends will be there if vou want to pop over and say hello to them before she arrives! 🦀

You can also make your own mermaid related crafts and decorate your own environmentally friendly dinglehopper also!

Extremely limited places for this one so please MESSAGE asap to book your place!
Payment must be received straight away to secure you space as we quite often have a waiting list and it may be passed to the next person in line (payment details will be sent once you message to book).

£15 per child with an accompanying adult and feel free to dress up little ones (and grown ups 😂)

Please be aware that due to room and special guest hire for this event, bookings are non-refundable.

A new week already! ❤️

Pie season is well and truly in full swing here, and we don’t think anyone’s complaining about it 😂

Our homemade Corned Beef Pie and Cheese, Leek & Potato Pie have both been going down a storm.

The sweet stuff isn’t hanging around long either! Our Apple Crumble Cheesecake and Apple Slice with custard seem to disappear almost as quickly as we can make them. 🍎

But probably the most popular thing lately has been our homemade soup. We’re guessing the colder weather creeping in might have something to do with that! 🥣

It definitely feels like everyone is ready for the warming, traditional home comfort food again… and we are too.

Mostly though, we just wanted to say thank you. We love seeing the same faces coming through the door each week, catching up with you, hearing what you’ve been up to and welcoming new faces along the way.

It’s exactly what we always wanted The Avenue to be.

Feels like home. Feels like family. ❤️

NEW BUSINESS ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

A new Greek restaurant and bar, Greek On The Beach Restaurant Bar is set to open on South Parade and the owners are certainly no strangers to serving up Greek food 🇬🇷

They previously owned Petros Restaurant in Winlaton Mill, where diners could enjoy everything from souvlaki and stifado to a traditional Sunday lunch.

The owners say ‘Greek food is all about warmth, generosity and big flavours with authentic dishes, fresh ingredients and recipes inspired by generations of Greek cooking.’

Just done my leaflet drop at Tynemouth ,all businesses except one shop were really receptive ,some had doubts about sticking them in windows ,so I got round that by telling them they could stick them.on back of men's bogs door ,an offer they couldn't refuse ,so at least 15 premises now showing our leaflets .
One lady even said oh yes ive heard of them.
Was feeling a bit low first thing ,but the leaflet drop has lifted me ,and I feel it has been a success
Only 5 out last night so doing all I can to get numbers up ,please help me spread the word .
