The Monkton Inn is situated in the lovely village of West Monkton, just a short drive from the centre of Taunton. Peter and Val the owners of The Monkton Inn, look forward to welcoming you and invite you to enjoy our wide selection of food and drink. Peter and Val have lived in South Africa for many years, Val is originally from Bridgwater and Peter is from Hemal Hempstead. This is reflected in our menus which is made up of local and South African Dishes. We pride ourselves on our hospitality, fine food and service which you can enjoy in our cosy bar, restaurant, or, in the summer, our lovely garden which features a childrens play area. We have a wide selection of snacks and freshly made cottage rolls. At lunchtimes, we offer menus that include both traditional, home-cooked meals and light snacks. In the evening we offer a well balanced a-la-carte menu which includes exotic meats, steaks, duck, fresh fish and vegetarian options. To accompany your meal we have an extensive choice of wines, local ales, cider and spirits.
