We’re have a few weeks left into our School Holiday Meals fundraiser and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us move closer to providing free meals for local children during the school holidays.

For those asking, there is now a QR code available both online and in the shop, making it easy to donate if you wish.

You don’t need to donate a large amount. If lots of people gave just £1, it would soon add up and make a real difference.

As always, there is absolutely no obligation to donate. Sharing the fundraiser is also a huge help.

⚽🏆 WORLD CUP GIFT BAGS IT IS! 🏆⚽

Well, the votes are in and the clear winner was lots of smaller prizes rather than one big hamper… so that’s exactly what I am going to do! ❤️

I’ve ordered 20 World Cup-themed gift bags which will be given away during the tournament. 🎁⚽ Englands first game.

As always, I try to spread a little bit of joy to as many children as possible.

The bags have now arrived and we’ll be putting together the details closer to the first game. 👀

I always try my best to make things fair and inclusive. No matter what you do, someone will always think there’s a better way, but my aim is simply to put a smile on a few faces.

⚽🏆 I need your help! 🏆⚽

With the World Cup coming up, I’m thinking of doing something for FREE for the children at Oliver’s Chippy.

I’m torn between:

🎁 One World Cup hamper with lots of goodies

OR

🎁 Several World Cup gift bags so more children can collect. Free.

Before I start buying bits and putting it all together…

Well… that was a bit of a mission! ❤️

A few months ago I offered some of Oliver’s old bedroom furniture for charity collection as we knew a room makeover was on the cards.

Unfortunately, the bed couldn’t be donated in the end. Somewhere along the way Oliver managed to mark the mattress (which has since had a full Vax clean) and, in true teenage fashion, jumped on the bed and snapped a slat which pierced a hole in the mattress. 😳 It is still usable, however the charity cannot take it and I didn’t feel comfortable passing it on as it is not in perfect condition.

Fast forward to this week…

While we were away, Oliver’s room was completely emptied, decorated, and his new gaming high-sleeper bed was assembled. His dad is just waiting to finish the wall panels now they’ve finally arrived.

A huge thank you to BCW Painting And Decorating ltd and D Turner Flat Pack Furniture Assembly for helping transform the room and to Celebration Cakes and Sugarcraft Freckleton for making the amazing birthday cake exactly how Oliver wanted it. 🎂

This morning after the flight home he walked in, looked around, became completely overwhelmed and simply said:

“Thank you Mummy.”

Then burst into tears. 🥹

If you’re a parent of a disabled child or autistic child, you’ll understand that those moments mean more than words can ever explain.

It’s not really about the bed, the paint, the cake or the presents.

It’s seeing them happy.

It’s seeing them feel understood.

It’s seeing their safe place become even safer.

Now… I do still have a few items looking for a new home:

📺 TV (around 32”)
🪑 Gaming chair
🪑 X Rocker-style chair
🖥️ Computer monitor

For now though, I’m just sat here looking at his smile and feeling incredibly grateful. ❤️
