Police search for missing 11-year-old Vinnie last seen in Mitcham

Police officers in South London are appealing for urgent public assistance to locate 11-year-old Vinnie, who went missing from his home in Mitcham at approximately 21:30hrs on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. Vinnie is described as approximately 5ft tall with blond or mousy brown hair and was last seen potentially wearing a tracksuit.

Officers are carrying out extensive local inquiries across Merton and surrounding South London boroughs to establish his movements since Wednesday evening. Investigating teams urge anyone who may have seen a young boy matching his description, or who holds information on his whereabouts, to contact law enforcement immediately quoting police reference CAD 1755/13AUG26.
Community vigilance remains critical in missing person investigations involving minors, as rapid reporting often proves vital to ensuring a safe return. Metropolitan Police officers are asking residents, shopkeepers, and commuters along local transport routes to check CCTV or dashcam footage captured in the area around the time of his disappearance.

Friday will look a little different with a smaller play set up as we are only open for 2 hours. Going to run it as more of a tea, coffee and cake shop. Play will be free with the purchase of a hot drink or specialty drink. X
