Join us for a morning of flowers and creativity at The Anchor Café, Upton Boatyard on Wednesday 2nd July.

🌿 Begin by choosing your favourite blooms and creating a beautiful personalised bouquet in a guided flower arranging workshop with Wild at Heart Blooms.
✏️ Then settle in with coffee and cake as you're guided through a relaxed drawing session, capturing the beauty and character of your floral creation on paper.
A chance to slow down, connect with nature, and spend a few creative hours in lovely company.

Race day!⛵️

One of the most spectacular sailing events on the Norfolk Broads, the Norfolk Three Rivers Race takes place today, Saturday 30th May , starting from Horning and covering approximately 50 miles over the Rivers Bure, Ant and Thurne. Many crews sail throughout the day and night, with the race often taking 18–24 hours to complete.
As the fleet makes its way along the River Bure, they'll pass Upton Boat D**e – a fantastic spot to watch the action unfold!
☕ Why not join us by the river and pick up a delicious coffee and a slice of Kelda's fabulous cake from the anchor cafe before heading down the boat d**e to take in the spectacle of traditional Broads sailing at its very best?

Come and cool down at The Anchor Café at Upton Boat Yard — the perfect riverside spot to escape the heat and slow the pace for a while.
Treat yourself to a delicious ice cream from Marshfield Farm Ice Cream, made on their family farm near Bath using fresh milk from their own herd of cows. Their award-winning ice cream has been made on the farm for over 35 years and every flavour is created just metres from where the milk is produced!
We’ve also got refreshing iced lattes, fresh coffee, homemade cake, and plenty of sunshine waiting for you. 🌿☕🍰
Sit back by the beautiful River Bure, soak up the nature, and watch the boatyard in action as the world drifts by.

What a wonderful day at the Anchor Café yesterday ⚓️☕️

We were delighted to open our doors for a very special private hire celebrating the birthday of one of our fabulous regular customers. Guests arrived in true Norfolk style aboard the magnificent 127-year-old Wherry Albion — one of only two remaining commercial Norfolk Wherries built specifically for the Broads. Known as a “black sailed trader”, she made quite the entrance at Upton Boatyard 🖤⛵️
A huge thank you to the wonderful Kelda for providing a delicious lunch, and to Frosty for the beautiful accordion music that made the afternoon even more magical 🎶
The Anchor Café is available for private hire events, celebrations and gatherings.

While the village of Upton gets ready for the White Horse Pub Pig & Cider Festival this weekend, the marshes have been warming up their singing voices too! 🎶🌾
Just this morning, bitterns and cuckoos were heard practising their performances, while the reeds are bursting with warblings and song.
Before things kick off at the pub today, why not stop by The Anchor Café at Upton Boatyard and boost your dancing energy with a freshly brewed coffee and a delicious slice of carrot cake ☕🍰
