Hello lovely Upminster & Cranham friends ✨☕
I just wanted to say a genuine thank you for the kind response to my last post — it truly meant a lot and made this little village coffee shop feel so warmly welcomed.
Over the past weeks, it’s been really lovely to see people popping in between errands, coming in from the cold, settling into a padded chair, wrapping their hands around a hot coffee, and taking a moment to slow down before heading back out again. One of my favourite things is watching shoulders drop and conversations soften once people give themselves permission to pause.
The start of a new year can feel busy, loud, and a little overwhelming — full of plans, pressure, and expectations. If you ever feel like stepping away from that for half an hour, there’s always a quiet corner here where nothing is expected of you except to sit, breathe, and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Someone once said, “You don’t have to earn your rest — you’re allowed to take it.”
That feels like a good reminder for the beginning of the year.
Thank you so much for supporting a small, independent café in Cranham village. Whether you stay for five minutes or an hour, you’re always very welcome.
Wishing you all a calm, cosy start to the New Year 🤍
