⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE – KITCHEN CLOSED THIS EVENING ⚠️

Unfortunately, due to a water outage affecting the village, we have had to make the decision to close our kitchen this evening, as we are unable to trade safely without a reliable water supply.

🍻 The Fiddleford Inn will remain OPEN FOR DRINKS until 9pm, so you’re still very welcome to pop in and join us for a drink.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and really appreciate your understanding.

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we receive any further information regarding the water supply.

💔 A Sad Update About Our Famous Weeping Willow 🌳

It’s with a heavy heart that we share some sad news about our much-loved weeping willow.

Unfortunately, a large crack had developed through the entire stem of the tree, causing it to lean dangerously and creating a serious safety concern. After careful consideration, the difficult decision was made to pollard the willow and cut it right back.

We know the sight of it will come as a shock to many people who know and love this beautiful tree, but thankfully, this is not goodbye. ❤️

Our weeping willow is expected to recover fully, and in time, new growth will return and its familiar beauty will begin to take shape once again.

Ultimately, it was far better to cut it back now and save the tree, rather than risk it falling and losing it forever.

For now, our famous willow may look a little bare and rather sorry for itself, but it is still very much alive. 🌱

Sometimes, saving something means making a difficult decision today so that it can still be here tomorrow. 💚🌳
