Today is a very special day as we wish our daughter, Jazmin, a very Happy 18th Birthday! 🎉🎂

Watching you grow into the kind, caring and hardworking young woman you are today has been one of our greatest joys. We are incredibly proud to have you working alongside us as part of the County Funerals family, supporting the families we care for with compassion, respect and dedication alongside your studies.

Grief can feel heavy, and sometimes the smallest change of scenery can make the biggest difference.

Taking some time to walk along the beach, feel the sunshine on your face and listen to the calming sound of the waves can help bring a moment of peace during difficult days. Nature has a gentle way of helping us slow down, breathe deeply and clear our minds when emotions feel overwhelming.

The County Funerals team wish Sir David a wonderful 100th birthday today.
I had the honour of him receiving an honorary doctorate at my university graduation and he handed me my degree certificate and shook my hand and I can honestly say that was more exciting for us than actually getting our degrees.

We are excited to share with you the Wildflowers dedication that The Garden House Hospice, Letchworth are running this summer, for a donation you can dedicate a flower in the hospice gardens. Then on 28th June they are holding a remembrance afternoon where you can enjoy the beautiful dedications and some refreshments.

I read something this weekend that really made me stop and think…
In 30 years’ time, many of us would give up everything we own… just to come back to this moment.

Not for money.
Not for success.
But for something far more meaningful…

To have one more conversation with someone we love.
To hear their voice again.
To sit together, even in silence, on what once felt like an ordinary day.

In our work, we see every day how precious and fragile time really is.

Families rarely talk about the big things at the end.
It’s the small moments they miss the most the everyday routines, the laughter, the presence of someone who simply “was there.”

Those ordinary days become the most extraordinary memories.

Perspective changes everything.

The time we have now with our health, with our families, with the people who matter most is something we often don’t realise the value of until it’s gone.

As our Accounts Manager, Amelia plays a vital role in our day-to-day work, and since starting the business back in 2017, she has been the driving force behind our growth and success. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment continue to inspire us all.

Personal touches can make all the difference when saying goodbye.
