What a lovely afternoon and an absolute pleasure to meet the legendary chef Pierre Koffmann.
We had such a wonderful chat, and I could genuinely feel his warmth, kindness and passion for hospitality.
On a challenging day, our conversation gave me a little hope and reminded me why we love this industry.
Such a shame Alex had to be at work and couldn’t be there, he must be absolutely gutted to have missed the chance to meet you!
A truly special moment meeting a legendary chef that I will always remember.

Four years ago, we opened Kumquat in Tunbridge Wells with a dream.

We had no PR company, no marketing agency, and no shortcuts.

Just a husband, a wife, a family, and a determination to build something special.

There have been long days, late nights, missed weekends, challenges, sacrifices, and moments when we wondered if we could keep going.

But we never gave up.

Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that Kumquat has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, believed in us, cared about us, and given us the opportunity to continue our journey. Thank Nick and Sarah from the beautiful flowers.
