Customer Notice

It is with great sadness that the current management of Kang Wah wishes to let our customers know that Saturday 31st January 2026 will be our last day. As most people are aware, the current climate is extremely challenging for small businesses like ourselves. The cost of utilities and stock is on a continual rise and as we cannot put up the prices on our menu we have to absorb the hit. This coupled with constant staffing issues meant that we had to make the hard decision to call it a day.

When we chose to come to Treherbet, we were told that the people were lovely and we haven’t been disappointed. We have the best neighbours and customers, so it is very sad to say goodbye. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your friendship and custom.

Hi all, my name is Steven and I am the new manager/chef of Kang Wah Chinese Takeaway on Bute Street, Treherbert. Last evening on Halloween night, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had no staff available to work. As such I was doing it all by myself. I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all my customers last night for their patience and understanding and most of all for their extreme kindness and generosity in giving me great tips. Special shout out to the amazing customer who only lives a few doors away who gave me £11!

Whether on my own or with all my fabulous staff I hope to always give a professional service and provide the highest quality meals to all my customers. Thank You!
