๐๐ฅ TIPS FOR AN ENJOYABLE EVENING AT DONNINGTON BONFIRE ๐ฅ๐
With thousands of people coming together to enjoy Donnington Bonfire, a little bit of planning can make your evening even more enjoyable. โค๏ธ
Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your night:
๐ ARRIVE EARLY
Give yourself plenty of time to arrive, get through the entrance and have a look around.
Arriving early means you can get a feel for the venue, find your bearings, familiarise yourself with the facilities and decide where youโd like to spend your evening.
๐บ๏ธ FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH THE MAP
Our event maps will be available on social media before the event and will also be displayed around the venue.
Take a few minutes to have a look at the map when you arrive. It will show you where to find:
๐ข Fairground rides
๐ Food & refreshments
๐ป Toilets
๐ฉบ Medical facilities
๐ง Lost Children Point
๐ช Emergency exits
๐ก๏ธ Public safety areas
๐ Other important facilities and access points
๐ง A QUICK TIP FOR PARENTS & CARERS
Our wristbands for children will have the telephone number for the Lost Children Point printed on them.
We recommend you save the number in your phone.
๐ธ We also recommend taking a quick photo of your child before you enter the event, ideally showing what they are wearing that evening.
If you become separated, having a recent photo and a clear description of their clothing can be extremely helpful to our team.
For older children, itโs also a good idea to agree on a meeting point before you explore the event.
๐ท BRING SOME CASH
Although many traders and rides will accept card payments, not everyone will be able to.
Bringing some cash means you wonโt miss out if a particular ride, stall or trader is unable to accept card payments.
๐ FIND YOUR OWN SPACE
You donโt have to be right at the front to enjoy the fireworks! ๐
In fact, standing back can give you a much better overall view of the event. From further back, you can often see the bonfire, fireworks and the atmosphere of the fairground all around you.
If an area feels particularly busy, simply move to a quieter part of the venue and find your own comfortable space.
๐ถ TAKE YOUR TIME
With a large crowd, some areas will naturally become busier than others.
Please be patient, allow people around you space to move and follow the directions of event staff and security.
๐ WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR
Youโll potentially be on your feet for several hours, so comfortable footwear is a good idea.
Remember that this is an outdoor event, so check the weather and dress accordingly.
๐ฑ KEEP YOUR PHONE CHARGED
Itโs worth making sure your phone has plenty of charge before you arrive, particularly if youโre using it to contact family or friends.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง KEEP YOUR GROUP TOGETHER
If youโre coming with children or a larger group, agree on a meeting point when you arrive, just in case anyone gets separated.
Children should remain with a responsible adult throughout the evening.
๐จ KNOW WHERE TO GET HELP
If you need assistance at any point, speak to a member of our event team or security.
Medical assistance and other public safety facilities will be clearly identified around the site, and emergency exits are shown on the event map.
๐ AND MOST IMPORTANTLYโฆ ENJOY YOUR NIGHT!
Donnington Bonfire is about bringing our community together, enjoying the fairground, the bonfire and the fireworks, and making memories with family and friends. โค๏ธ
A little preparation can make a big difference โ arrive early, have a look around, familiarise yourself with the site, find your own space and then relax and enjoy the evening.
๐ฅ๐ We canโt wait to welcome you to Donnington Bonfire! ๐๐ฅ
