🌿🇹🇭🌻Meet TOOKTA 🌻🇹🇭🌿
At Tongpan’s Thai Kitchen, every member of our team has a story, and today I would like to introduce someone very special to us – TOOKTA.
Tookta has been part of Tongpan’s Thai Kitchen since the very first day we opened our doors. She is not only a member of our team; she is part of our family.
Before moving to the UK, Tookta had a successful career in Thailand as a Production Manager. She worked with people, customers, and projects, building a professional career through hard work, dedication, and responsibility.
When she moved to the UK with her husband, she made a brave decision to start a completely new chapter in her life.
The restaurant industry was not her background.
Cooking was not her profession.
Hospitality was a completely different world.
Many people would find it difficult to leave a successful career behind and start again from the beginning, but Tookta embraced the challenge with courage, determination, and an open mind.
From day one, she listened, learned, adapted, and improved every single day.
One of the things I admire most about Tookta is her character.
She knows her strengths and works hard every day to improve herself, but she never thinks she is better than anyone else.
She is confident in what she can do, yet remains humble and open to learning.
No matter who is teaching her, she listens with respect, appreciates advice, and genuinely values the opportunity to learn something new.
That mindset is rare.
She understands that learning never stops, and every day is a chance to grow and become a little better than yesterday.
Over time, Tookta has learned every position in our restaurant. Whether serving customers, helping in the kitchen, preparing food, supporting the team during busy periods, or simply making someone smile, she is always ready to step in and help wherever she is needed.
We work side by side, moving between different roles, supporting each other, and making sure everything runs smoothly.
That is what being a team means.
It is not about one person being more important than another.
It is about working together, learning together, and helping each other succeed.
One of the most meaningful things Tookta has shared with me is that, because she does not have children of her own, she never fully understood how deeply a mother loves her children.
Through our friendship, our conversations, and seeing how much I care about my own children, she began to understand that love in a different way.
That understanding helped her see something important about our food.
At Tongpan’s Thai Kitchen, we do not just cook recipes.
We cook with love.
The same love that a mother puts into every meal she prepares for her family.
That understanding has become part of who she is and part of what makes our team special.
What I appreciate most is that Tookta has always been there.
Through the difficult days and the good days.
Through the busy days and the quiet days.
She believed in me.
She believed in our team.
She believed in the dream of Tongpan’s Thai Kitchen.
Her positive energy, loyalty, kindness, patience, and willingness to learn have helped shape the family culture we have today.
Our goal has never been just to run a restaurant.
Our goal is to create a place where people feel welcome, comfortable, cared for, and at home.
Tookta has helped us build that feeling from the very beginning.
Thank you, Tookta, for your loyalty, your friendship, your hard work, and for believing in us from day one.
You started as a colleague, but today you are family.
Tongpan’s Thai Kitchen would not be the same without you.
❤️ Part of the Team
❤️ Part of the Family
❤️ Part of the Tongpan Family Forever
With love and appreciation,
