From Monday 20th July we are going to open 7 days a week from 11am!!!! We are hoping that it will make it easier for people to pop in because no-one will have to wonder whether we are open or closed. We have some flyers we’re taking to hotels and other local places where people pass through ♥️

Some of the things that make us proud to be in include a really lovely, large and active community of ecologically-motivated people who are protecting our wild spaces & advocating for our planet 🌎

Our local Sutton Amnesty International Group who are amazing and have been directly instrumental in the release of political prisoners across the world;

And our local Dialogue Society - a Turkish founded group who bring people together from different backgrounds, to exchange food and conversation.

We were lucky enough to be invited to one of their picnics and we came away feeling extremely tearful and moved after hearing them speak of building trust, outside of big slogans, so that everyone knows that whoever we are, whatever religion we do or don’t practice, whatever language we speak, we all matter ♥️

NEWS :
1. Please remember we run a weekly called ‘The People’s Table. It happens every Thursday from 12pm. It means anyone can come in and …or otherwise pay what you can afford. No questions asked. This week was a cauliflower burrito bowl with sriracha mayo and fresh tomato salsa 😋🍅

2. We have another round of sound engineering training coming up. FREE for people who live in the borough and we prioritise low-income applications. We’ll be doing a shout out for expressions of interest, spaces are limited.

3. We will soon be announcing our project - sessions to teach you to carry out basic guitar repairs/set-ups and upcycled guitars are GIFTED to people from low-income backgrounds. More to come!

4. Every Friday morning from 10:30am we run ‘Shake ‘n’ Sing’. A toddler group with a difference. Run by professional musicians and it’s FREE because we know how expensive it is being at home with little ones…and EVERY child deserves the same access to music ♥️🤘

5. Like everyone, we have been hit hard by the heatwave and since April’s budget it’s been extra hard. We are running a fundraising night of music on 9th July, but the truth is EVERYTIME you pop in for a coffee, beer or come to gig, you are literally helping us to make ALL the music, ethical food and projects like those above, possible.
