🥡 Good news! We now offer a Sunday lunch takeaway service, so you can enjoy your roast at home too.

❗ No booking required, but once it’s gone, it’s gone! We cook a limited number of meals each Sunday, so we’d recommend arriving as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

💙 A little favour to ask from our wonderful Café at the Minster community… 💙

Many of you have all heard me talk about my eldest son, Aaron. This year he’s taking on the incredible challenge of running the Chicago Marathon to raise money for Make-A-Wish UK.

Every penny raised helps bring joy and unforgettable memories to children living with critical illnesses and their families. It’s such a wonderful cause, and I’m incredibly proud of him for taking on this challenge.

If you’re able to spare even £1 or £2, it would mean the world to Aaron and to the children whose wishes your donation will help make come true. If donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this post would be a huge help too.

I’m back fighting fit and ready for another busy day at the Café at the Minster tomorrow!

Day 2…. and thankfully I’m finally feeling much better! ❤️

The sickness has eased a bit, but I’m still feeling very tired with a pounding headache. Unfortunately, because I’ve been unwell, food hygiene guidance means I shouldn’t be preparing or serving food until I’ve been symptom-free for at least 48 hours and the sickness hasn’t completely subsided yet.

With that in mind, Cafe at the Minster will remain closed tomorrow (Sunday). I know many of you were looking forward to your Sunday roast, and I’m so sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding and the lovely messages over the last few days – they’ve genuinely meant a lot. ❤️

I’m hoping a final day of rest will do the trick, and I can’t wait to welcome you all back very soon.

💚 Unfortunately, the café will be closed again today.

I honestly thought this was just going to be a 24-hour bug, but I’m still really unwell and don’t feel fit enough to open. I’m so sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

I’m also keeping a close eye on how I’m feeling as I may need to make a decision about tomorrow’s Sunday lunches. As things stand, I haven’t been able to get out to buy the fresh ingredients, so I’ll update everyone as soon as I know more.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and all the lovely messages. I’m hoping this bug finally gives up and I’ll be back serving you all very soon. ❤️

Unfortunately, the Café at the Minster will be closed today.

I’m really sorry for any inconvenience, but I’m feeling quite unwell this morning and don’t think it’s safe for me to open.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support—it really does mean the world. ❤️

We’ll be back open as normal tomorrow, and I look forward to seeing you all then!
