The festive season is around the corner and we have been testing some new ideas in our cafe. So as a little sneak peak here is our festive spiced scone that the team whipped up last week. These will not be available till later in the year but they are absolutely delicious according to our service user team. Till they are available why not instead enjoy one of our traditional fruit or cheese scones baked fresh daily in our cafe which is currently open Monday-Friday 10am-3pm.

What is deadheading? This is a term we use a lot on site and we thought it would be good to give an explanation to our customers as its something that helps your plants last so much longer. Deadheading is the removal of dead flowers or leaves from a plant, now this doesn't mean plucking the dead flower off and leaving it at that, when you remove the dead flower you should remove the stem at the base of the plant to encourage new growth, the same for the leaves on the plant, if they are dead, dying or damaged, then nip then right at the bottom and remove it. Doing this regularly will encourage new growth and help your plants last much longer.
