🌟 A Huge Thank You from St Peter's Centre! 🌟

What an incredible few weeks it's been!

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated their surplus fruit, vegetables, foraged goodies and glass jars to St Peter's Centre. Thanks to your generosity, every single donation has been transformed into something wonderful for our Pop Up Café at the Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage. 🍏🍅🥒🫐🍓

From chutneys to cakes, bakes and preserves, our volunteers have been busy turning your gluts into delicious treats for visitors to enjoy. And if we're lucky, there may even be enough left for our Harvest Festival display and service too! 🌾🍂

After days of chopping, stirring, baking and bottling, I'm pleased to report that my oven has finally cooled down and I've almost managed to lose the smell of vinegar and chutney! 😂

But not for long...

I'm back in Staithes this weekend and ready to get my apron on again, so please keep those donations coming! If you have any spare fruit, vegetables, berries, herbs or clean jars and lids that need a good home, we'd love to hear from you.

💚 Special thanks to: ✨ Alum House Luxury Bed & Breakfast ✨ Angie Jayne Coburn for the rhubarb, apples and courgettes ✨ My Mum for the courgettes, tomatoes and brambles

Your generosity helps us bring people together, reduce waste and create something truly special for our community.

Thank you for helping St Peter's Centre turn surplus produce into smiles, conversations and delicious treats! ❤️

🥕🍓 Got a glut? Don't let it go to waste... send it our way! 🍅🫙

🥫 SAVE YOUR JARS! 🥫

Wow, Staithes... you're doing it again! 💚

Our appeal for surplus fruit, veg and foraged produce is proving hugely successful (keep them coming!), and we're absolutely delighted by the support we've received from our amazing community... but freezer space will be running short, so we are planning stage 2..... Chutney Ahoy!

🍎🍓🍐🌿 We're looking for clean jars and matching lids of all sizes!

Our volunteers will be busy turning your generous donations into delicious homemade cakes, crumbles, pies, chutneys and preserves for our St Peter's Centre Pop Up Cafés.

If we have enough, we'll also be selling our homemade preserves at the Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage 2026 and at our Harvest Show & Service, helping to raise funds for St Peter's Centre and support our community activities throughout the year.

Instead of putting those jars in the recycling bin, why not give them a second life?

♻️ Don't recycle it... donate it!

📍 Drop jars and lids at Staithes Arts & Crafts Centre

📞 Or contact Lucy on 07973 281211

And please keep the fruit, veg and foraged produce coming too! Every apple, berry, plum, marrow, courgette, onion, tomato, garlic and handful of hedgerow treasures helps us create something special.

Thank you for helping us turn local gluts into delicious treats, reducing waste, supporting local volunteers and raising funds for St Peter's Centre. We couldn't do it without you! ❤️

👉 "Please share this post with friends, neighbours and local groups. The more jars we collect, the more preserves we can make!"

Last Chance of Summer 2026! Bill's last walk is 20th August.... Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity... walk, talk, learn, laugh and eat cake!!!!!!

🍎🥕 Got a glut? We'll take it! 🍐🍅

Harvest season seems to be arriving a little early this year, and we're putting out a call for your surplus fruit and veg!

🌳 Have you got a fruit tree that's producing more than you can cope with? 🥒 Has your veg patch gone completely wild? 🍇 Spotted some blackberries, damsons or other wild fruit on your walks? 🥕 Got a few extra courgettes, tomatoes, beans, apples, pears... or anything else?

Don't let it go to waste!

At St Peter's Centre Pop Up Café, we love getting creative. Whatever you donate, we'll turn into something delicious to help raise funds for the Centre. Think:

🍲 Homemade soups
🍰 Cakes and bakes
🍎 Crumbles and puddings
🍯 Jams and preserves
🥄 Chutneys and relishes
🥧 And all sorts of tasty surprises!

Every donation helps us: ✅ Reduce food waste
✅ Support our Pop Up Café
✅ Raise vital funds for St Peter's Centre

We're not fussy... if it's edible, we'll do our best to make use of it!

📞 To donate, please message Lucy on 07973 281211 and she'll arrange collection or drop-off.

Thank you for helping us turn your surplus into something special for the community ❤️
