Little tweaks to the setup for this weeks wedding.
I’ve been wanting to try this counter top wrap around for a little while, so I threw a quick one together this week. It’s a nice way to hide a lot of the bits that end up out in service and make things a bit quicker on a single person setup. It also acts as a wind break so coffee grounds stay closer to where I want them. It could be more polished but it’s turned out pretty good for a first iteration.
And for me that’s a central element in the way I look at The Coffee Vagabond. Iteration. Revision. Refinement and improvement. Avoiding complacency isn’t just about quality, but staying engaged; fuelling the love for the craft of being a barista and the love for coffee.

It’s been a minute since I posted anything not on stories. But we completed EMF Camp 2026 2026! 50 kg of coffee, 200kg of ice and more milk than Cleopatra could dream of for her baths. Can’t wait for 2028, and keep your eyes peeled for what’s coming in between now and then 😁

Not every location makes such a cool backdrop as The Flaxmill, but it won’t stop us bringing a great coffee there!

Mobile coffee bars can come to your event, festival, wedding, office bake-off (yes, we did do that!) and pretty much anywhere else you might want a good brew.

Drop a line if you want us to caffeinate your dogs swim certificate ceremony, or anything else (not done one of those, yet!)

Maybe it’s conditioning, but a flat white in a paper cup hits different. ☕️
