Events at MeCycle: https://autism-ventures.storedpay.co/-NoA4R A thriving social enterprise cycle café and bike shop that provides supported work placements for young autistic people. MeCycle offers a great selection of food, cakes and specials, as well as a range of bikes available to buy. Open Monday -Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm

Established by Autism Ventures in 2010, 150 young autistic people have benefitted from over 60,000 hours of specialist support from our dedicated staff team within a range of business settings to increase work and life skills, their self-esteem, health and wellbeing. Most have been supported whilst in education, usually towards further or higher education, into employment, training or volunteering.

Join us for a very special book talk evening at Mecycle Café & Bike Workshop.

Tuesday 17th November from 6pm, we’ll be celebrating the publication of The King’s Shilling, a gritty, compelling and at times harrowing account from Alfred A. Harris as a form of therapy while processing his experiences and trauma during WWII.📖

The evening will be hosted by the wonderful Sue and Tom Sinclair.

Sue is Alfred A. Harris’s daughter and, following his death, she transformed his three handwritten volumes into a published book, helping to preserve and share his incredible story and journey.

Join us for a fascinating and enlightening evening as we hear more about Alfred’s experiences, the story behind The King’s Shilling and the journey of bringing his handwritten memories to life.

With a Q&A hosted by the wonderful 📚

🍂 Some recent autumn moments at Mecycle 🍂

Swipe through to see a little of what we’ve been up to lately from the lovely messages left by some of our wonderful customers, big and small, to delicious food created for special private events here at Mecycle.

Our bikes are out and ready for you to browse throughout autumn and winter 🚲, our run clubs are still going strong with the most gorgeous autumn sunsets, and another Oktoberfest went down a treat with plenty of b**r, German food and good times 🍻

We’ve had fabulous entertainment from paperboatsinsta, plenty of latte art as always ☕️, and another amazing evening with Lynne Mcveigh getting everyone into the Halloween spirit 🎃✨

And, of course, a huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers for keeping us so busy and booked up and to all of the brilliant people, creatives, entertainers and event organisers who help make these moments possible.

Join us on Friday 21st November from 7:00pm for a wonderful evening of Spanish w**e tasting!🍷

We’re delighted to welcome back Jim to Mecycle for another fantastic evening of guided w**e tasting, featuring a selection of w**es brought over from a Spanish vineyard for you to discover and enjoy.

Throughout the evening, we’ll be pairing the w**es with a selection of Spanish light bites, carefully chosen to complement the w**es and make for a delicious evening of food and drink.

This special event will also be supporting Elsie’s Story, with charity donations from the evening going towards their wonderful work, alongside further purchases supporting Autism Initiatives, the charity behind Mecycle.

Tickets are £35 per person.
