Oh.My.Goodness. I actually don’t have words for how amazing this place is. I mean I’m obsessed with pasta anyway but this pasta is made completely fresh & is 100% vegan, even their cashew parmesan was unbelievable!!

We had a 3 course meal booked for the evening of this day so we only intended on grabbing a light lunch, but wow, once we smelt this place from outside and went in- we couldn’t resist!

We had the:
🌱Dolce Vita with truffle oil
🌱Umami Stroganoff

A genuine 10/10 review for this place, if I lived closer I would be 5 stone heavier from getting this every day😭

A must visit if you’re in the area⭐️

Do I address the fact I haven’t posted in ages or just post and act like it never happened…

So this is Hank’s Dirty Vegan in St Albans & the food really was worth coming back to the gram to show off😂

The menu was extensive & the food was absolutely delicious + filling😋

I have to admit that I’ve been a rubbish, unhealthy vegan the last few months and then a couple weeks ago I got my act together and started eating way better and being actively conscious of the nutrients I was getting every day. Within days I felt SO much better and feel like I have buckets more energy so I’m hoping I can keep this up and ride this energy wave & use it to be more active on here😭🤞

I’m sure inspo from the great accounts I follow on here with help either way💗🌱

🌱Vegan Toad in the Hole🌱

Sorry I’ve been useless posting here the last few weeks, it’s been hectic and resulted in a lot of quick throw some stuff together meals😭

I’m making a 3 course vegan meal this weekend for my family again so hopefully this time I can remember to get some good pictures🥲

I hope you’re all doing great & I’m really looking for some inspiration at the minute so looking forward to browsing all your amazing pages & trying out some recipes💗🫶🏼

🌱Plant-Based Kebabs🌱

When I really don’t have time to cook, this is my favourite dinner to throw together and it’s sooo delicious😋

Will be tasting raw onion for the next 10 days but definitely worth it 🧅

For our kebabs we use:
-Shredded Lettuce
-Shredded Red Cabbage
-Vegan Shawarma Kebab (used here which was unreal)
-Tomatoes
-Onion
-Cucumber
-Greek Style Pittas
-Sriracha
-Chilli Mayo (we use )

The best part about it is you can really add whatever you’d like & it will still taste great. And you don’t get that greasy feeling after usual kebabs🫶🏼

📍Banana Tree MK

My first visit to a banana tree and I was blown away by the amount of Vegan options on the menu. I crumble when I have to choose so I loved the feature on their menu of scanning to see what every dish looked like🤩🌱

Pictured here we had:
🌱Sweetcorn Fritter Balls
🌱 Aubergine Half With Aromatic Caramel Sauce
🌱 Malaysian Kajang Satay Set
🌱 Thai Green Curry With Vegan Bites
🌱 Tamarind Spicy Aubergine

One of the tastiest meals out we’ve had in a long time! Definitely on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion😋💗

Will definitely be going back again soon🌱

Let’s Talk Carbonara🤩🌱

The fact this dish only takes 20 minutes AND tastes this good AND is fully vegan, means it’s cooked at least once a week in our house😋👩‍🍳

I love everything about this dish & I’m confident you would too! I’ve written the recipe below if you’d like to give this a go, but I’ve also got a reel on it on my page if you’d rather follow along there💗

All you need is:
🌱400g Pasta
🌱1tbsp oil
🌱1 onion
🌱3 garlic cloves
🌱30g flour
🌱550ml milk (I use soya milk)
🌱1tbsp nutritional yeast
🌱Salt/Pepper to season
🌱Vegan pancetta (I used .uk here which is my fav)
🌱Vegan Parmesan (optional) (I used )
🌱Fresh parsley (optional)

Method:
Heat olive oil in a pan, add your onions and soften for 5 minutes. Then add garlic on medium/high heat and cook for 5 minutes or until your onions brown. Add pancetta to the pan and cook for 2 more minutes.
Coat the onions with the flour and cook for 60 seconds. Whisk in all the remaining ingredients and cook for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
Add Parmesan and cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss well and season to taste, add the fresh parsley to serve.

**If you don't have any vegan pancetta, feel free to use any bacon substitute you have. If you'd rather not use substitutes here, marinated mushrooms work perfectly too!

✨Spaghetti Meatballs✨
Veganise your favourite meals & you’ll never miss meat again!

This whole dinner took 20 minutes to make, I used meatballs & made a classic tomato sauce (using onion, garlic, mushrooms, red pepper, celery & carrot) with chopped tomatoes, oregano, fresh basil, paprika and some chilli flakes🤩 I topped it with some vegan parmesan which still remains my favourite 🧀

It’s important to keep track of your protein intake when going vegan so here I used wholemeal pasta to create whole proteins with this dish, it’s a subtle change that makes a big difference to your meals!

So proud of you if you’ve made it this far this veganuary👏🌱

I made an Indian Vegan Menu & cooked for 13 people😭🌱

I ended up making 4 different starters, 3 different curries and 3 different desserts. I cooked everything from scratch & basically spent 3 whole days cooking… just to get no good photos of the end product😂

Hosting for this many people meant I was rushing just to get everything out in time while it was hot, so didn’t manage to get any good final product pictures😂 these were the before/durings pictures!

Sorry I know the desserts are most certainly not in theme with the Indian menu but I like what I like😭

This entire evening was Vegan & I love creating delicious food that everyone would order typically- with or without meat/dairy. All my guests aren’t vegan but admitted they would choose these dishes over their typical meat choices as there was far more flavour😋 (after making plenty of ‘Where’s the meat?’ comments of course)

I love showing people how great being vegan is and how they don’t need to sacrifice any flavour or choice to do it🌱💗

I also made an Italian menu that I may do at some point- but maybe not for this many people again as it definitely was a little tight😂
