First up is Mill Farm Pottery!
We’re so lucky to have Mill Farm Pottery right here in our wonderful little village of Eppleby. ❤️

They create a beautiful range of handmade ceramics, with a selection available to browse and buy right here at the shop.

They also offer 1:1 and small group pottery sessions at their studio — perfect for anyone wanting to get creative and have a go themselves! 🏺✨

Here at Eppleby Shop & Tea Room, we’re really proud to be part of our lovely local community. ❤️

We’re more than just a little shop — we’re here to provide those everyday essentials, a friendly face and, of course, plenty of homemade cakes, bakes and savouries to enjoy with a cuppa! ☕️🍰

Whorlton bridge is now open🎉🎉
Many of our customers will be very pleased to hear this news 😅

Celebrations were had today to mark the reopening of the historic Whorlton Bridge.

The Grade II* listed bridge, which spans the River Tees and links the village to surrounding communities, has been the subject of a complex programme of specialist engineering, conservation and construction works.

To mark the reopening, we held a special ceremony attended by representatives from Historic England and specialist contractor VolkerLaser, alongside residents of Whorlton and Wycliffe villages.

During the event, musicians Rosie Bradford and Sam Slatcher performed a bespoke folk song celebrating the bridge and its history. The performance was followed by music from Barnard Castle Band, which also played when the bridge first opened in 1831.
