One last crêpe run!

We were lucky enough to get an extra-sweet stay from Little Lemon Crepes over the summer, but all good things must come to an end.

After months of sweet and savoury crêpes, Julia will be serving her final Buttermarket crêpes on Sunday 27th September.

From pistachio-loaded sweet treats to fresh, pesto-packed savoury folds, there’s still time to get your Little Lemon fix fresh from the griddle.

So if you’ve been meaning to try one, consider this your sign. One last crêpe run before Julia heads on to her next adventure.

Here we go again!

The Buttermarket is going Greek for a night of big flavours, cold drinks, live cabaret and plenty of ABBA-inspired singalongs.

We’re celebrating the arrival of Little Greek Grill with a proper Greek island-style party in the courtyard, with Abba-inspired cocktails, cold beers and all six of our independent kitchens open for dinner.

From 7pm, Haarts Productions will be bringing the cabaret, the classics and plenty of reasons to get involved. Come for the food, stay for the dancing and bring your best holiday energy.

Friday nights are yours at the Buttermarket. Scan the QR code, request your favourite song and take control of the soundtrack.

Expect street food from our six independent kitchens, cold pints, cocktails from Earles Bar and a playlist that could go absolutely anywhere.

Guilty pleasures encouraged. Questionable requests accepted. Songs you haven’t heard since 2007? Absolutely.

And every third Friday, we turn things up for Friday Lates — bigger tunes, Buttermarket DJs, a new theme each month and music until late.

Pasties, pints, crimping and a whole lot of creative fun!

Redruth’s International Pasty & Mining Festival is taking over the town on Saturday 12th September, and the Buttermarket is your place to eat, drink and get stuck into the celebrations.

We’ll have street food, cold pints, live music, kids’ crafts and the very important business of deciding who makes the best pasty in town.

Think your pasty has what it takes? Enter our Grand Pasty Tasting Competition, with four categories: Best Amateur Traditional Cornish Pasty , Best Professional Traditional Cornish Pasty, Most Creative Edible Pasty and Best Family-Made Pasty. We may just settle the battle for the best pasty in Redruth!

Bring your entry to the courtyard between 12 and 2pm, complete the form and let our panel of judges do the tasting. There are some very tasty prizes up for grabs.

Then, when the pasties have been judged, it’s time for Pasty Festival: The Party!

In the evening, join us for street food, cold pints and live music from Sunny Side Up and 3 Daft Monkeys Duo in the courtyard.

Come hungry. Bring your best crimp. Stay for the party.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding following the unexpected disruption at the Buttermarket yesterday evening.

We know many of you were in the middle of meals, drinks and evenings with friends and family when we had to close at very short notice. We were informed that, due to an event in the vicinity, we needed to evacuate the building immediately and close for everyone’s safety. It was made clear that it was not a direct target to the Buttermarket.

Our priority was, as always, the safety of our customers, team and independent kitchens. The circumstances were completely outside of our control, and we acted on the advice we were given. We have no further information to share and do not want to encourage further speculation, so comments on this post will be closed.

A huge thank you to our team and independent kitchens for handling an incredibly difficult situation with such calm professionalism.

We have now reopened and had a lovely lunch service as normal, and are looking forward to welcoming you back. If you have any questions about your visit yesterday, please contact [email protected].

September is bringing plenty of reasons to head to the Buttermarket.

Our regular courtyard favourites have been shaken up, with Shake, Sip & Snack, Sundown Sessions, All Request Fridays and our first Friday Late, keeping the food, drinks and music flowing.

Then things get properly busy with the Pasty Festival, celebrating one of Cornwall’s most important food groups, followed by Pasty Festival: The Party for street food, pints and live music into the evening.

And if that wasn’t enough, we’re finishing the month with a Greek Night, bringing big Mediterranean flavours, cocktails and a proper night of feasting to the courtyard.

Saturday was a good one!

Our Art & Makers Market brought the courtyard to life with an afternoon and evening of brilliant local creativity, from ceramics and illustration to textiles, prints, jewellery and original artwork.

A huge thank you to all the makers who came along, shared their work and let everyone get involved with workshops, crafts and wonderful pieces, and to for bringing the market together.

We loved seeing people browsing, chatting, making, eating and settling in for the evening, with our independent kitchens keeping everyone fed and Earles Bar keeping the drinks flowing while the funk & soul soundtrack carried us into the night.

Meet The Little Greek Grill!

A new pop-up kitchen is joining the Buttermarket lineup, bringing a proper taste of Greece to Redruth this September!

Expect juicy, slow-roasted gyros wrapped in warm pita, fresh Greek salads loaded with feta and Kalamata olives, and traditional Mediterranean desserts to finish things off.

Behind it all is a family team: Alex on the main chef duties, Kelly keeping things moving front of house and in the kitchen, and Meg, the prep machine and resident comedian, keeping everyone smiling when things get a little hectic.

We’re very excited to tuck in. Keep your eyes peeled for a big Greek launch party coming your way soon.
