Good Morning! it’s a ‘Sprout and Shout’ kind of day! With just a few of these gorgeous plants showing off their new beginnings. Not comparing themselves to the plants nextdoor, taking their own path, outgrowing the old versions of themselves without a care in the world 🥰
Sometimes growth happens quietly, sometimes it takes a little longer than we’d like. Then sometimes when we think nothing at all is happening, something blossoms. Just remember, you weren’t put on this earth to stay in the same pot forever.

Gooooood morning everyone 😃 Jude is back in the house🤣
I’ve had a few days helping my sister Lou recover from her hip replacement and let me tell you she is doing bloody marvelous!!!!!!!! Ups and downs as expected but honestly she’s doing really well!!!!!!!

The shop looks amazing!!!! Thanks to Nicola, Julianne and jackie for keeping on top of everything 🥰
I’m in today with Anhaa….yes coffee art today 😃
Also I wanted to show off this bundle of gorgeousness!! Say hello to the Anthurium. She is just an absolute stunner with her red waxy flowers that can last for months!!!! I luuuuuuuurve these!!!!

We’re delighted to announce that we are officially now a member of ‘Dementia Friendly Redcar and Cleveland’ 🥰

The House Of Foliage has taken a fantastic step towards helping build a more understanding, inclusive and dementia-friendly community and we welcome you to be part of this important journey.

Together, we can continue to raise awareness, challenge stigma and create a community where people living with dementia and their families feel understood, supported and included.

Every small step towards understanding dementia is a big step towards creating dementia-friendly communities 💙

Good morning everyone 🥰 Just a reminder for those who would like to come along, today is our meet up with Dementia Action Teeside, where we will be helping to create a community where you can gain knowledge and support to help those with dementia.
It’s tonight at 4.30pm-6pm at The House Of Foliage. All of us will be there so we can learn to support and provide a safe space for our customers. It’s free- come along and join us ☺️

I’m just whizzing over to Saltburn to pick up a fresh teacake and scone order also collecting our cake order 🤤 The coffee and plant shop will be open today usual time of 10am-4pm.
We’ve lots of lovely plants in, one of may faves is the good old fashioned Cheese Plant.
By the way, ignore that red sky and the saying shepherds warning…..we’re not shepherds, the sky isn’t warning us of trouble, it’s setting the scene for a fabulous day 😃🥰

David's back with another brilliant kids drawing class!

This October half term local illustrator will be teaching a Monster Mash Up class, using inspiration from existing animals to 'mash' together to create unique monsters.

It will be a mix of drawing and 3d work to really bring those scary monsters to life.

All materials will be provided, your children just need to bring their imagination.

*Children must be accompanied by an adult*

Good Morning on this ‘Mindful Monday’ I think Monday gets a bit of a bad reputation, but we see it as a fresh beginning. Before you rush into another busy week, have a check in with yourself, what do you need a bit more of this week, What do you need a little less of? Remember, everything doesn’t have to be figured out, you don’t have to run around 100 miles an hour just because the world seems to be. Slow down, take a breath and enjoy the little things. So today be kind to yourself, make time for the things that make you smile, you’ve got a whole new week ahead of you 🥰

We’re delighted that The House Of Foliage- The Coffee & Plant Shop By The Sea is hosting one of our dementia information sessions as part of their commitment to becoming a member of the Dementia Friendly Redcar and Cleveland Community 🌿

Our session is open to EVERYONE who would like to learn more about dementia, better understand the challenges people living with dementia may face, and discover how we can all offer support and make a difference. 💙

Together, we can help make Redcar and Cleveland a more dementia-friendly community where people living with dementia feel understood, supported and included. 🤝

Did you know that the Blendsmiths Matcha we use in the cafe is ceremonial grade Japanese Uji Matcha. Recognised globally for its excellent quality and health benefits. From fighting chronic illness and infections to actively fighting ageing, all that and it tastes great!

What's not to love?! 🥰😍

As some of our regulars will know, Nicola visited Japan last year and did make a stop off in Uji for a Matcha and to see the Ujigami Shrine. Believed to be Japan's oldest Shinto shrine it served as a guardian shrine for the nearby Byodo-in Temple, a UNESCO world heritage site which features on the 10-yen coin.

So we can say with confidence that the Matcha you get in our little cafe is just as good as it is in the home of Matcha - Uji Japan (according to Nicola 😜)

Nicola didn't take a photo of her Matcha, but she did take a picture of the temple and shrine with the glorious autumnal trees.

Good morning everyone, Northallerton bound this morning!! Today is the day my middle sister Lou Cave gets her new hip because her old one apparently couldn’t keep up with her lifestyle 🤣 (personally, it’s just another reason for those airport security guys to pull her over)
Seriously though, please send her lots of love and speedy recovery wishes🥰
