Protein bowls, but make them anything but boring.

Individual meat & veggie protein bowls, a colourful selection of salads and individual hummus pots — fresh, vibrant and ready to go.

And the best bit? Happy returning customers. That’s the brief nailed.

Love cheese… but not a fan of the traditional cheese board?

Then how about making a couple of seriously good cheeses the centrepiece instead?

Perfect for a wedding breakfast, buffet, party or grazing table — beautifully presented, effortlessly impressive and made for sharing.

These two beauties from Aubrey Allen certainly know how to make an entrance…

12-month Manchego — mature, crumbly and full of that gorgeous nutty, piquant flavour.

Dongé Brie de Meaux — soft, delicate and gloriously creamy.

Served simply with a basket of bread, grapes and the all-important cheese knives.

Because sometimes you don’t need a mountain of cheese…

You just need really bloody good cheese.

FOOD, WINE & A LITTLE SOMETHING SPECIAL…

I’m very excited to announce my second lovely collaboration with Blabers Hall Wine for an evening of food and wine at Sage Coffee Shop, Earlsdon.

Think five courses of seasonal food, each paired with a wine chosen to complement the dish — because good food deserves good wine… and I do love a bit of matchmaking.

From crispy filo with whipped Brie and caramelised onion, through roasted squash velouté and beetroot with goat’s cheese, to slow-braised beef shin and a rather gorgeous poached pear & dark chocolate mousse.

Friday 23rd October · 7.30pm
Sage Coffee Shop, Earlsdon
£50 per person

A relaxed evening of my food + their wine = hopefully a very happy marriage.

Spaces are limited, so if you fancy joining us, drop me a message to book your place.

A week ago today we were in full summer-feast mode at Rugby Distillery.

A little bit British, a little bit Mediterranean, a touch of Spanish, plenty of garlic, chilli, butter, parmesan and good wine… basically all the things I love about cooking.

It was our joint pop-up, and the perfect excuse to bring good food, great drinks and lovely people together around one table.

There was plenty of cooking, plenty of chatting, a fair amount of plate juggling… and that lovely moment when you look around and think yep, this is exactly why I do this.

Summer might be packing its bags, but I’m definitely not ready to let go of this one just yet.

Rugby Distillery — look forward to the next one.

Gone but definitely not forgotten… our September Recipe Book Club!

This one was all about bringing two very different food worlds together — the sunshine, herbs and beautiful simplicity of the Mediterranean, with the punchy flavours and ingredients of the Far East.

Think Claudia Roden meets a little Asian influence… and somehow, it just worked.

Five small plates, lots of flavour, plenty of chat and, as always, a table full of lovely people enjoying food together.

I’ve been far too busy to post it, but this one deserved its moment!

Next Recipe Book Club now available to book.

This wasn’t just wedding food!..

It was my bride’s vision of a nostalgic, at-home wedding breakfast.

Her brief? A little bit retro, a little bit bougie, completely her.

The olive & cheddar gives proper retro cocktail-party nostalgia, while the watermelon & feta brings it bang up to date.

Then you've got burrata, prosciutto, porchetta, prawns, paella, roast beef… retro and modern references done luxuriously.

And YES to the big wedges of Manchego and Brie rather than a conventional cheese board.
Big dramatic wedge + knife + grapes/figs = effortless, abundant and classic.

Then a huge paella pan in the garden, cooking up vegetable paella for everyone to tuck into.

Honestly, the whole menu was about delicious sharing plates of food.
No chef-y nonsense for the sake of it.

It's food people actually want to eat — just presented beautifully, generously and with some proper luxury touches.

I'd describe the concept as:
Bougie nostalgia.
Wedding food, elevated.

And then came the bride's response…
“You've fu***ng smashed it!”

That's basically the highest possible catering review.
Her vision. My kitchen. A seriously good wedding.
And yes…
Enjoyed every moment of creating it.

Thank you for choosing Culinary Bites with Sophie to bring your vision to life.

One week. Seven days. And quite frankly… I’m not sure my feet have recovered yet!

Monday — prep, prep and more prep.
Tuesday day - prep for a corporate Blondes n Bourbon event.
Tuesday evening — pop-up restaurant at Sage Coffee Shop.
Wednesday — Straight into the madness… Sherbourne Recycling B&B event, with a 12–3pm stint followed by 9–11pm. Because apparently one shift wasn’t enough!
Thursday — wedding prep AND getting everything ready for the Rugby Distillery Summer Feast.
Friday — bougie wedding day.
Then Friday evening — the Rugby Distillery pop-up.
Saturday — food demoing at Leamington Spa Food Festival.

And somewhere amongst all of that, there was shopping, prep, cooking, loading, unloading, washing up, driving, planning, worrying, eating standing up and wondering what day it actually was!

PHEW… ALL DONE!

All smashed.

Clients happy.

Another crazy week ticked off.

Absolutely bloody exhausting — but what a week!

From intimate pop-ups and recipe clubs to weddings, corporate catering, food trucks, distillery feasts and food demos… no two days are ever the same.

35+ years in the kitchen and these mature bones are definitely feeling every single one of them!

Grateful. Knackered. Slightly feral.
Clients happy. Jobs smashed. Bring it on!
And relax...

I’ve been having some of the busiest weeks of my catering life!

Phew… these mature bones are taking one hell of a pounding but I genuinely wouldn’t have it any other way.

So incredibly grateful for every order, every customer and every opportunity to do what I love.

Here’s a little sneak peek at just a few of the dishes coming out of my unit today for a very special wedding — a DJ who’s been rocking Ibiza and his gorgeous partner who are tying the knot today!

I’m SO excited to see it all come together and can’t wait to share more…
Now… back to the kitchen!
