How different the weather is this week 😳
The old saying goes.make hay while the sun shines and it’s so true,you really do have to take the opportunity because you don’t always get a second chance with the weather.
A very good friend told me over 20 years ago,if you’re going to make hay go for it guns blazing even if you need to mow in the rain and then change your mind to silage or haylage if it’s not going to work.
Never dither around wondering will it or won’t it otherwise you will miss your opportunity .
It’s been a fantastic bit of advice that’s served us well over the years 😊
It certainly tests you both physically and mentally but is also very rewarding when you look at the weather and see the grass undercover ready for winter feed👍

For all our new followers, here’s Roger our pedigree Hereford Bull.
He’s a gentle giant we give him a good back scratch and massage on purpose 👍
I believe if you respect animals they will respect you and so far so good .
Bulls certainly have the strength to do a lot of damage and kill people so you should never trust or go near one unless you know it well.
When moving Roger and the cows and calves we can only call him a perfect gentleman 😊

Busy days but rewarding days 😊
We are stocking up for next autumn and winter with feed for our animals and also some to sell 👍
We’ve more to make but for now we’re all up to date and the rain on its way will help everything grow.so happy days.
