The Minerva Inn.

Here’s the next original Brian Pollard painting that will appear in our book celebrating Plymouth’s pubs.

Brian’s painting of the Minerva is packed with warmth, colour and character. The familiar frontage is framed with bunting and hanging baskets, while the street outside is alive with people, balloons and the little moments that make his work so joyful to explore.

There’s something especially fitting about seeing one of Plymouth’s oldest and most characterful pubs through Brian’s eyes. He hasn’t simply painted the building. He has captured the sense of life around it, the conversations at the door, the people passing by and the feeling that the Minerva has always been part of the city’s story.

The photography in the book will show the Minerva as it is today. Brian’s painting brings its personality to life in a completely different way.

Brian and I would love this book to be backed by the city it celebrates, so we’re currently welcoming enquiries from potential local sponsors. Message Plymouth On Tap or email me directly to start a conversation.

So the team behind The Minerva inn, The Tywarnhayle Inn & The Deck are now proud to be taking on the The Nowhere Inn in Plymouth!!!

Be prepared for all of the above 😉😜🥳

For now we are looking for bands to fill our diary, live music nights will be Friday 9-11pm

Looking for 3/4 piece (but not set in stone obviously, but looking for full bands unless supporting the main act)

Mostly looking for Rock acts that do either originals, covers or a mix of the two.

It’s a tiny venue and we will be free entry so our budget is small, especially to start with, but hopefully that can grow as we do 🤘
