RHUBARB | Some people love Christmas or Halloween but rhubarb season is my fave!

You've all been loving the Apple crumble cake recently, so here's my Rhubarb crumble cake. A lovely light vanilla sponge with heaps of British rhubarb folded through and the crumble topping is buttery and crisp from the oven.

SWEDISH PRINCESS CAKE | Did you know it's Swedish week at Almanac Cafe this week?

I've been wanting an excuse to make this cake for years and I'm super happy with how it turned out! Layers of vanilla sponge are topped with raspberry jam and whipped vanilla cream. I left this to set overnight and then covered it in this beautiful green pastel icing.

This looks too pretty to cut into 🥰 but I'm sure it won't last long!

CHOCOLATE ORANGE | Want to know how I make this chocolate orange so full of flavour?

I take some fresh oranges and boil them for 2 hours. This makes them incredibly soft. I let them cool, remove the pips and then puree the whole oranges 🍊. That's right, the flesh, pith and the rind. Nothing is wasted, and the flavour going into the cake batter is unbelievable!
