Brown’s Café has marked 98 years since Connie and Syd Brown opened their fish and chip shop in Pembroke in 1928.

The Main Street business celebrated with specially decorated cupcakes from Sugarbelle, sold to raise money for Parkinson’s UK, as it begins the countdown to its centenary in 2028.

Pembroke show is always a milestone for Browns. Today the milestone is our 98th birthday.
98 years ago in 1928 Browns opened for fish and chips.
This morning the amazing Nat Bell surprised us with these celebration cup cakes. So we have decided to sell them with all proceeds going to Parkinsons.
Thank you Carsons cards for our celebration balloon. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

In our help yourself salad bar today we have 3 bean salad, piri piri pasta salad, cucumber, green pesto orzo salad, coleslaw, beetroot, potato salad, tomatoes, red onion and lettuce. Toppings include crispy dried onions, bacon bits, croutons and super seeds. Perfect on its own or to accompany any meal. Come in and fill the bowl, eat in or takeaway options available.

Spring is in the air 🌞
Our Help yourself salad bar has returned, where you can fill the bowl with as much salad as you want. Also our very popular Ploughmans lunch. Both available to eat in or to take away.

After nearly 50 entries in our colouring competion, the judges had a very difficult decision to make. Thank you to everyone who entered.
