Starlight Cinema returns tomorrow night (Saturday 19th) with a beautiful selection of films, selected in reflection of Harvest Season. Tickets are available online now (link in bio) - we hope that you will join us in the atmospheric Forncett Industrial Steam Museum

Our feature presentation is ‘The Gleaners and I’, a quietly powerful film about resourcefulness, community, and the everyday value of what others leave behind. This modern classic of French cinema gained a cult following quickly after its release, and is one of Varda’s most celebrated films.

We’ll also be showing ‘Un Flux’ by Taryn Everdeen, which explores the lives of people unexpectedly connected by the flow of a forgotten Parisian river. It was deeply inspired by tonight’s feature film.

We’re also delighted to be screening ‘The Gardener’ produced by Jane Campbell, inspired by one of her prize-winning poems, a poignant stop-motion animation that reminds us of our place in the cycle of life.

We visited Tas Valley Mushrooms a couple days ago - so we're serving Tas Valley Mushroom Stroganoff this evening (come hungry!)

Announcing our supporting short film for tomorrow night’s edition of Starlight Cinema: The Act of Making Music (Taryn Everdeen) 🎶

After a burnout forces Peter to abandon his work as a chemist, he finds himself busking on the streets for his income. Through him, we meet a community of amateur musicians whose lives intersect at local open mic nights. The Act of Making Music is a portrait of the people who keep grassroots music alive and a celebration of the spaces where creativity matters more than perfection. ✨

The film will be followed by our feature presentation, Yesterday (Danny Boyle).

We’ve got delicious red lentil dahl on the menu, so rock up early and have a bowl before the film starts! The bar will be open, with popcorn & snacks available. 🍻🍿

Doors open at 6.30pm, the showing will start at 7pm. We expect the evening to wrap up around 9.45pm
