At Punch, we're proud to see young talent thrive across our pubs and support teams. From first jobs to leadership roles, remains one of the UK's greatest industries for developing skills, building confidence and creating rewarding careers.

That's why we're backing a hospitality-wide call to Government ahead of the Budget, championing the sector's ability to create jobs and opportunities for young people.

🎁❤️ NO ONE FORGOTTEN THIS CHRISTMAS ❤️🎁

63 Residents. 63 Christmas Surprises. One Amazing Community. 🎄

This Christmas, we want to do something a little bit special at The Oddies… and we’d LOVE our wonderful village to be part of it! ❤️

We’ve set ourselves a Christmas mission to create 63 shoebox-sized Christmas hampers for the lovely residents of Davenham Hall Nursing Home. 🥹🎁

63 little boxes filled with thoughtful gifts, kindness and a whole lot of Christmas love!

🎄 OUR CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE 🎄

From 1st November, our Giving Tree will be up in The Oddies, filled with gift tags showing items we’d love to collect.

Simply pop in, choose a tag, or have a look at what’s needed and donate whatever you can.

❤️ You don’t need to fill a whole shoebox! One little gift can make a big difference when we all pull together.

We know Christmas can be expensive, so there’s absolutely no pressure. Whether you donate one little item or simply come along to help us wrap, every bit of kindness counts.

Has anyone got any spare shoe boxes we could have please!

Britain’s pubs are worth up to £30 billion in wellbeing value to communities across the UK. But rising costs and high taxes are putting pressure on pubs that bring people together.

🍂🌰 ANOTHER CONKER NIGHT DONE & DUSTED! 🌰🍂

What a fantastic night once again at The Oddies! 🍻❤️

After plenty of smashing, swinging, questionable techniques 😂 and some VERY competitive conkering… we have our 2026 CONKER CHAMPION! 🏆🌰

🥁🥁🥁 Simon Mcdonald 🥁🥁🥁

Congratulations Simon! 👏 Your name will now take its rightful place on the Oddies Conker Board FOR LIFE! 😂🏆

But even better than the bragging rights… together we raised a fantastic £150! ❤️

As this year’s winner, Simon got to choose where the money would go, and he has very kindly chosen to donate it to our Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising 💗🎀

That £150 will now be added to everything we raise throughout October as we turn the Oddies PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💕

🎀 Badges
🎟️ Raffles
💗 Pink, Pints & Power Ballads – 23rd October
🎃 And of course… PINK-O-WEEN!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who entered, came along, donated, cheered, laughed and made another Oddies Conker Night such a brilliant one. 🥰

This October, we wear PINK. 💗
We raise money. 🎀
We raise awareness. 💕
And, because it’s the Oddies… we’ll have plenty of fun doing it! 🍻😂

See you next year, conker warriors! 🌰🏆

03/10/2026

🍂🌰 THE DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED… CONKER NIGHT 2026! 🌰🍂

Forget the Premier League… forget the World Cup…
THIS is the sporting event Davenham has been waiting for. 😂🏆

Tonight at The Oddfellows Arms we find out who has the strongest conker, the steadiest hand and, most importantly… who takes conkers far too seriously! 🤣

🌰 £5 to enter
🍴 Food for all players
🏆 Winner gets their NAME ON THE BOARD FOR LIFE
❤️ Plus the champion gets to choose the charity for the extra money raised tonight!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: You need to be registered BEFORE 5PM — so don’t come strolling in at 5:02 waving your conker around expecting special treatment 😂

We’ve got the conkers…
YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN LACE OR STRING! 🧵🌰

Expect questionable tactics, grown adults getting ridiculously competitive, cries of “THAT WAS A FOUL!” and someone definitely blaming their string when they lose. 😂😂

🍺 Pints will be flowing
🌰 Conkers will be flying
🏆 And one legend will be crowned…

ODDIES CONKER CHAMPION 2026!

See you at the bar…
LET THE BATTLE OF THE CONKERS BEGIN! 🌰⚔️🍻

📍 The Oddfellows Arms, Davenham

🌰🍻 ONE MORE SLEEP, CONKER NUTTERS!! 🍻🌰

CONKER NIGHT 2026 IS TOMORROW! 😏🏆

If you’re wandering past the Oddies today, get yourself in and register early… because we all know tomorrow you’ll be too busy concentrating on the important stuff — pints and conkers. 😂🍺

🚨 IMPORTANT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
BRING. YOUR. OWN. STRING. 🧵😂

We’ve got plenty of conkers…
What we haven’t got is enough string to deal with a pub full of grown adults suddenly taking conkers VERY seriously. 🤣

🌰 We supply the conker
🧵 You supply the string/lace
💷 £5 gets you in
🍴 Players get fed
🏆 Win it and your name goes ON THE BOARD FOR LIFE
❤️ AND you get to choose the charity for the extra money raised!

So polish your technique, practise your swing and start preparing the excuses for when you get absolutely battered by someone’s nan. 👵🌰💥😂

TOMORROW — SATURDAY 3RD OCTOBER!

See you at the Oddies…
where apparently grown adults smashing nuts together is considered a perfectly normal Saturday night. 😂🍻🌰
